While it is an interesting modification of Heroine Rumble 2, it bears the same issues as the latest versions of HR2 and it's not very well thought through.
For reference - a version or two ago(a few months ago), the developer has changed the audio triggers, making them trigger pretty much only on H-attacks. Which means that more than half of the fight is absolutely mute with only loud attack animations, and only H-attacks, ANY H-attack, even teasing - evokes all the missing vocal response.
Naturally this killed the gameplay, and I don't know why is the dev not fixing it. Maybe some major donor paid him directly to make the game less vocal, but I can not recommend that game or variations of it when one of its key aspects - moddable voice, is ruined. I can replace files for my own audio, but I can't replace scripts and triggers.
So, again, this applies to this "game" as well. It was made from the same engine config as HRumble, and it's all the more sad that the developer has been wasting time on this, instead of making sense of his primary game.
As for what this mod is - it's a roguelike with a forced male protagonist, no way(yet) to enable AI combat, and therefore with EXTREMELY annoying and janky combat. In the past - I've learned to more or less manually play Hrumble 1, but it was polished. Hrumble 2 is still in its janky state, and this mod features 3D map. Basically, in Hrumble you are kind of locked on the enemy, so you can't really miss. It's more jankly and problematic in HR2 than 1, but still works within that small arena size.
Here, however, you can only attack horizontally or vertially, and it's like a bad version of a platformer. AI is bonkers, and if you do not pick up 3 girls at level 1 - you may as well not continue. I haven't seen any recruitable girls on level 2, and even with cheats - enemy density is so high that fights are hopelessly onesided and spent in grabs. Your own attacks do properly break your allies out of grabs, but their attacks DO NOT. That is a bug, and that makes any grab you get into a stupid button masher.
Reverse grabbing is available from the start, which means that if you unknowingly spam it - you can be near-perpetually stuck in a failed-to-reverse grab. Or, in turn, so can an enemy. So there's already less dynamic than even the CURRENTLY BETA STATE OF HRUMBLE 2.
There's no save, and no particular move or item customization that I've seen so far, again, less so than Hrumble 2.
If Hrumble 2 was in any decent state, with working combat that you can naturally play(without 0.25-0.5 speedhack at least) with fixed vocal emotions - I could at least support an idea of branching out the game design.
But this is a literal cashgrab and waste of time by replicating something that still doesn't work. It does not deserve recognition.
