Overview:
After witnessing a horrific accident while walking home from work, you're approached by a beautiful, mysterious woman to run 'The Scutterhut'. Accepting this role will thrust you into the centre of London's underground crime network, where your enemies don't play games and friends are few and far between. The only way out is from the top of the food chain by growing your whore house, gaining reputation, and navigating the legal and illegal sides of your business activities.

Why do devs always start by writing story? Start with your systems, make sure they can play into your story, make sure it isn't a shitty grindfest. FFS, why release anything in this state of "development"?

the excuse is irrelevant after all, it's a porn game and still it starts well with well chosen scenes etc. but you cannot launch a 0.1 version with literally 5 minutes of gameplay where there is not even a minimum of gameplay I hope that in the next version we will see how the game really works I hope great things from the idem if it can be a good trainer management game
by the way if the idea is to get hold of the criminal empire of london all the power etc etc It would be good if the network extends between politicians and influential people, some famous people will appear to recruit And with the current deepfakes, it sure does not cost anything to "recruit" a famous to play who would not want to have Scarlett Johanshon as an asset (or lover or whatever) in a game like this?

>v0.1 Prologue

another one of these? pass
also what morkar said, tiddy does not make good game. not sure why he decided to have a ''release'' when there isn't even a game yet.

Theoretically i love the premise,i love that it is in London, i am definitely keeping track to see what happens and i hope it all goes well but right now there isnt actually a game just an advanced storyboard.
Could be one of the best games on here eventually, Venus's Club is kind of similar but nowhere NEAR as ambitious (and i love Venus's Club so...if Scutterhut actually fulfills what it is promising...mindblown, cant even imagine).

Hi All

(Huge thanks to Phanex for moving this here after I butchered it!)

I'm the dev. I'm a programmer by trade so I have quite ambitious plans for the core game loop - which is what I'm working on now.

I think the narrative is really important in a successful game so I wanted to establish that first, before demo-ing the core game loop and getting some feedback from you kind folk. My favourite game of the last few years is Red Dead which obviously had a sprawling storyline.

The idea for the core game loop is that there is zero grinding in the game, no clicking just for the purpose of clicking, with a realistic (haha, believable) storyline that compliments these core mechanics.

Why release early? I believe in releasing software early and often. It allows devs to get early feedback and stops procrastination of constantly adding one last thing before release, plus it keeps us motivated to keep moving forward and working on stuff!

Hopefully, you didn't feel like it was a total waste of 5 minutes.

I'm sure this isn't for everyone - that's cool, hopefully 1 or 2 people will enjoy what it grows into.

Thanks!
