The gameplay is not particularly engaging with the map and it is mostly a time-limited (by steps) go from point A to B. Luckily, the dev didn't make it their goal to iterate this too much throughout the whole game; it is short and the slight annoyance is compensated by the immersion.
The art is not amazing but it is grounded and not out of place. I appreciate simple things more than good looking art when it fits well and the expense doesn't become a deterrent to the scenarios.
The story is good; it doesn't need to be a mistery novel but it is well balanced and has a few surprises that the viewer/reader can follow without it being out of nowhere.
The animations are superb, not in their complexity or SFX, but in the correct use of transitions in combination with the CG. It makes the rather stale art look better. The scenes combine well these elements; a good balance; not a yap fest nor a glorified gallery scroller.
