VN - Ren'Py - Secrets of Middletown [v0.15] [BV Games]

What a waste of time. Do you want to click the screen a bunch of times to get videos of mid 2000's quality 3D models dancing and standing around "animated" with AI? All while reading hundreds of boring text messages? Because that's all there is to this "game". No sex, just a couple of balloon titties and dogs sniffing crotches.

If you're going to release an early work in progress of your game on here you should have, bare minimum, one single sex scene and this doesn't even have that.

The premise is there but the execution & complete lack of any and all content makes this a total waste of your device's space. Bonus points for the game imitating a phone yet if you use the android port you have to hold your real phone horizontally to play instead of vertically like every other game like this.

The premise is lewd enough for my tastes. I play for the beast plot! =p I do hope that Bulkvtulka focuses on the partners being dogs rather than other fetishes but its their choice. The MC is hot and the maker has a good sense of outfit style.

I found the premise of this one very intriguing - a father experiencing his daughter's experiments with bestiality via her phone. However...

The writing felt a bit off, and for this particular format, landing the writing is important. I can't pinpoint what I disliked here, but it just didn't feel authentic to me. This I could have lived with - there isn't enough supply of bestiality games to be that nitpicky.

But then we encounter the fourth character in the game (besides MC, daughter, daughter's friend). He's introduced as a student leader, running welcoming activities for the new arrivals. He's dressed perfectly normal. He also is black. As soon as MC sees a picture of him, he starts with how thugs like this are bad influence and so on (utterly no choice for the player here).

So either the MC is meant to be written as a racist piece of shit, or the dev thinks this is normal behaviour. I'll be kind and assume the former. This still killed my hopes to enjoy this game.

This game brings something genuinely new to the space, for all it leverages well used components like the mobile phone trope. Looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Early days, obviously, but even so the dev went to great pains to already introduce several characters that'll be railing the 'mc's daughter.

The renders are a bit awkward, with the positioning and proportions being slightly wonky, but there is a certain charm to them that -say- basic Honey Select models don't have. By and large, the visuals work even if they're not great.

The writing is very obviously non-native, which is a bit awkward when the game is so heavily based on trying to tell a story through an (over)abundance of text messages between dad, daughter and other characters. The story equally rushes ahead a fair bit (within a day we're receiving nude pictures, which I find impressive even for porn game logic).

It being a v0.1 there isn't much to be seen yet, but the foundation has been laid for a lot of future content. Most of the game is functional (only had one warning about a missing picture, despite various comments in the thread) and there's enough to keep an eye on it with future updates.

So, for now, an average score. It can really go either way from here, depending on where the dev takes it.

This is a solid start for a bestiality game with a twist. I know phone games are like cockroaches on this site right now, but there aren't any with this emphasis. I deducted 1 star because the English is lousy, but not to the point where you can't figure out what is meant.

Not gonna bother with my usual full review so here is the quick and dirty:

Pros:

• Nice, sexy looking models, can't consider them LIs really though
• Writing is actually not half bad, structured and reads well.

Cons:

• Cellphone screen UI, so smaller than full screen obviously.
• Clicking around until the VN starts, requires a degree since you have no clear "start" or even "exit" thank fuck for ALT F4
• Dad character fawning and perving over his (I think) 2 daughters (at least one) I didnt pay too much attention to text.

All round a silly premise and not even worth calling a VN IMO, there is not much in this release anyway. The renders of the models look fine, its how they fit in with the rest thats not good.
Basically, its tied together by a poor plot that makes little sense and the pics are for the player not for the MC/dad, which begs the question, why go this route with the phone anyway. Make the dad/MC the BF maybe, but even then he will have 2 GFs, so again its all bullshit and the dev is better off just doing a full VN in the traditional manner with a better story. Use the same general idea, but build it around something more believable/plausible.

Overall I am not impressed, its really rough, albeit written and dialogue being good.
