Project: Untitled/Wrestling-themed
Hello fellow members of f95zone,
It has been a couple of months since I became engrossed in playing erotic visual novel games. There was a time when I used to be quite suspicious of "porn" games, until I realized that there are actually genuine erotic games that are not ladden with viruses or scams. Ever since, I have played numerous games. The game that introduced me to this community was The Gift Reloaded, while the game that caused me to become somewhat obsessed with Ren'Py erotic games was My Cute Roommate (Cousin). Some of my most favorite games include Being a DIK, Babysitter, Dating My Daughter, Depraved Awakening, City of Broken Dreamers, and plenty of others.
As for the project, having realized that I happen to be rather particular and picky about the kind of games that I enjoy playing and aspects of those games that I especially enjoy, I could not help but consider the possibility of developing my own game. However, I knew I was lacking certain skills, so I temporary gave up, until recently when I realized that f95zone has a separate board for recruitment. I had already been considering teaming up with someone to develop a really different and unique erotic visual novel game, but I was not sure how I could find such an individual. Hopefully, now I might be able to.
Edit/Update: Having had a discussioin with a few members from here (although they did not work out), I have managed to settle on an idea that I feel really interested in and seems quite unique for an erotic visual novel game, and as far as I know it hasn't been done yet. The idea is about a wrestling-themed game that will revolve around a male protagonist who advances being an amateur to a professional wrestler over the course of the game. The idea is not entirely fleshed out, but I feel that I have managed to refine it now and have at least some working ideas with which it will hopefully be possible to proceed. I would prefer to discuss those ideas with someone on Discord. Also, although I don't want it to be a rip-off, as of now I am drawing a bit of an inspiration from the television show GLOW, in case anyone is familiar with it.
Alternately, it is still not mandatory that we go with this idea, though I have higher hopes for it, but I am still also open to discuss other ideas.
Developer:
I'm not sure I could call myself a/the developer, but I intend to play quite an active role in the creation process of this potential game. Overall though, I am a writer, and I have a great deal of experience writing erotica. I have a few published works as well. I consider my erotica to be different and unique in the sense that my sex scenes tend to be very descriptive, lengthy, and raw, and I refer to them as porn on paper. I am hoping to bring the same writing style to game as well in order to make it stand out. I must point out though that as of now, I have no coding experience or knowledge whatsoever, although I am in the process of learning. As of now, I do have experience using DAZ3D, ranging between basic and intermediate. I have even created a character or two, and have even done some rendering, but I must clarify that I have a rather old laptop so that rendering I have done is not the best, at least that is how I feel.
Looking for:
Getting to the point, I am essentially seeking a similar creative mind as my own, who would also be handling the coding/programming, and rendering parts of the project. I use the word rendering rather than DAZ3D artist (even though that is kind of what I am seeking) because I could lend them a bit of a hand with that in any way possible. However, their role would not be limited exclusively to these. As stated, I am seeking a creative mind, a partner, who perhaps is not good at writing but has had an interest in developing their own game. As partners, and since there is basically no project at the moment, we would be coming up the ide and everything else regarding this potential game from scratch, together, so they would be playing an equal role in the creative process.
Employment Type:
Since I am seeking a partner, rather than merely recruiting someone, this would be a 50/50 partnership from whatever revenue this game would generate, hopefully through Patreon, and maybe elsewhere too. To be blunt, I couldn't afford to pay someone outright to join me on this project, but this would be a fair and honest partnership, and even though I cannot predict how successful this project could potentially be, all revenue would be equally divided.
Work commitment:
We would likely spend as much time as we possible could on this project. While there would not be any pressure, I hope that we remain passionate about it.
