Project: San Junipairos
A lighthearted, story-focused adult adventure game. Very early days, just submitted my Patreon for review today. No art or code yet, just placeholder images. I have worked extensively on the overall design and writing, and am ready to take the next step. To quote the Patreon: "The plan here is to make a sandbox “feel”, with an overworld map, basic character creator, most h-sequences having a repeatable version, a “final choice” for each character ie choosing between Sienna or Bianca, and a day/night cycle. But instead of making a hundred separate storylines that all have to work together as well as be startable at different times during your playthrough (and not create constant story and coding conflicts), there is one central story path that you are pulled along with an easy to understand hint system always available. Each update will feel like an individual chapter of the story, with a beginning, middle and end. Ideally this will result in a consistent and appealing update cycle with reliably large amounts of h-content and no need to rework the codebase half a dozen times during development."

Soon after starting at school, you lost the courage to hang out on the beach and instead found solace in the numerous (and delicious) cafes and sweet shops your town is filled with, a hidden foodie paradise in a quaint small town. With your waistband growing ever larger even as your confidence sinks to new lows, and after (barely) graduating high school, you decide to go to a full year fat camp and change your life. One year later and victorious, with a ripped body and an optimistic new outlook, you return to find that San Junipairos is overrun by tourists! Selena Tropez, a popular traveling FooTube star, did a feature on your town's chocolatier, and now women from around the world are flooding in to do everything that she did: eat way too much chocolate, hit the beach, visit your town's unique dual-purpose shops, hike the scenic trails, and – as usual with Selena's channel – seduce as many townie studs as they can! At first it seems like perfect timing with your newfound confidence, but not everything is going smoothly in your hometown. A greedy new developer has moved in, trying to buy everything up. He has already built a condo development not far from your house, and bought all the bars in town – which are suddenly a lot more like nightclubs than you remember. - Coco Von Creme sure could use some help at her now-famous Choc Lit Shoppe, a combination chocolate shop and bookstore, and who better than her all time best customer – you! Having spent a good portion of your childhood escaping into adventure novels and sampling (stuffing your face with) everything she made, Coco knows she won’t find anyone so uniquely qualified and demands over your protests that you start immediately. Vowing to resist eating too much chocolate, and boasting an encyclopedic knowledge of the merchandise, you become her best salesman in no time. I wonder how she will thank you?
- Shout Your Pie Hole just opened across the street and is driving Coco nuts! Run by "new girl" Panya, it is a pie shop and performance venue. Panya often advertises out front by offering free bites of pie and fliers for live music, and you always make sure to have a taste of Panya's pie on your way into work. Some women in town criticize her flirting and skimpy outfits, but they can't deny the results – her Pie Hole is busy!
- Sienna and her mom Bianca run the best Italian restaurant in town, Pizza Kegels, which has a weight room and yoga studio in the back. The dean, DeAnn, is an old family friend, surely you can find a way to impress her. The school board is considering letting Deveroux Schatz, the greedy developer, construct a bunch of new buildings to accommodate the sudden influx of students trying to enroll – maybe Dev can get you in, but at what price? And the only fraternity, Delta Omega Pi, wants his help changing the name of the school to San Junipairos Upstanding University in protest of the revealing new women's athletic uniforms. Can you stop these DOPs and their SJUU nonsense from ruining the school before you even get in? The sorority sisters sure seem ready to fight against it, and after watching you working out at Pizza Kegels they are very keen on having you over for a “planning session” to help bring the dean to their side. Maybe DeAnn will be swayed by skimpy men’s outfits as well? The whole sorority plans on watching you model their different ideas later, and you did say you would help… When you hesitate, they mention trying on different outfits for you as well, the ones that got rejected outright for being too sexual. Suddenly you can’t wait for tonight!
- Gelata Vagina has been serving up premium ice cream and sexual health aids since the 1970's, and is one of the original dual shops in San Junipairos. A lesbian couple you went to school with just bought the place from the retiring couple who ran it, and they have some very interesting ideas on how to drum up business. After hearing about Yun Hee and Carmella's plan to de-stigmatize male sex toys, starring you on the boardwalk handing out fliers in a pair of those tiny trunks the sorority had you model (and apparently uploaded to social media), you start to back away slowly. Until, that is, they mention the exorbitant salary – how can they afford that? Their new brand of Korean pink velvet soft serve, Queen's Cream, has been a hit, but still. You forgot Carmella comes from the richest family in town, and it seems she wants to spend her trust fund on a humanitarian mission to improve the sexual health of everyone you know. Plus they mention how many times they caught you spying on them back in high school. Oops! Well, you think, it's for the greater good. And it comes with a huge employee discount! Given how much of that new vanilla-almond ice cream you're eating, you'll need it.
- Look who’s back in town – Selena Tropez just couldn’t stay away from Coco’s chocolateyconfections any longer, and has returned to take a victory lap through her most popular series yet. After meeting you at the counter, she clearly has a new star toyboy in mind for her romp up and down the boardwalk. Barely able to tear your eyes away from her bikini top, you pledge to be her native guide and show her all your favorite spots. But there might be a problem with that, as Coco’s initial excitement at having Selena back in town turns to jealousy in a flash! - As if all this wasn’t enough, back at home you meet with Shiva and her daughters, whom you have known your whole life (and secretly lusted after). It turns out they are broke and desperate for a way to keep the house. After you left last year, your father moved away too, and he was the one managing the renting and upkeep of the house's available rooms. Shiva manages the other half of the business: Shiva's Big Juicy Peach, a small orchard and fruit stand. A brilliant botanist, she created an enormous varietal called, you guessed it, Big Juicy Peach. They get so large that, when ripe enough, they often split slightly along the seam, dripping their sweet nectar on anyone working below. But after paying the girls' college tuition and without any rent from the rooms, there's no money to pay anyone to work the orchard; Shiva now feels like she has no choice but to accept Deveroux Schatz’s offer to buy them out. However, Shiva has a surprise: when your father left, he signed over his half of the house and orchard to you! "So what do you think, MC? Should we sell to this Schatz man? Maybe now you are back we can find a way to stay, if you want to help us...?" Of course, you won't let this greedy developer pave over your childhood memories just like that. Distractions abound though: Shiva's daughters are always popping up, ready to help and show their appreciation for your hard work. Come to think of it, things were a bit tense when you first arrived, and you remember Shiva admonishing them to share. Is this what she meant?
