if the dev is on here i don't mean this as presure to rush or anything like that, but do we have any idea when the next update might be? the first game was great and this one looks like it will be no different in that regard

I really don't see what all the criticism is about, unless you guys are game dev's and have put out a product thats superior, you have no real gripe over a free game. It's not like you guys paid for the game. So put up or shut up.

I loved version 1.0 and I like the improvements so far, keep up the great work Llama, as always more Meiko is always good for me.

Bro, I'm in your discord and some even mentioned it there. I'm also not a freeloader, so I really hope you weren't aiming your last insults at me. I love your work, but there really feels like a quality change between the very end of the first game and the beginning of this one. I really think the models are the same but the shaders and number of quality passes when rendering have been lowered. (Who ever said the models have changed are def wrong.)

It's easy to see that you had more quality passes on your portrait sprites than you did on the scenes. You are a good dev, but you really need to stop taking stuff personal. It'll drive you crazy. Even your biggest fans will have opinions.

I'm attaching two pictures. One is the portrait sprite. One is the scene it's framed on. It's a very noticeable difference.

Once again, I'm not saying this to cause a fight. I'm simply suggesting that you render the scenes with the same shaders and passes as you did with the sprites.

You are a good dev and most of us here are cheering you on. Try to see this a helpful comment instead of an insult.

I see this sort of concept all the time--"You haven't paid for the game; therefore, you have no right to criticize"--and I generally disagree with it. And I am referring to criticism--not complaining. Criticism and complaining are two separate things.

Why? Because devs of these games signed up to make porn games in a world overflowing with free porn; then they hope people will like their games enough to become patrons. In essence, they are hoping you will give them your money for an incomplete product, with no assurances that it will be finished, and no refunds. So if a dev is asking for money for an incomplete game, people have the right to criticize. In short, if anyone wants your money for anything, you have a right to criticize the product or service being offered.

It's a horrible system and has risks for both parties, the devs and the supporters, but it's what we got.

Moreover, whether a person is paying for a game or not doesn't determine the validity of their criticism (assuming that criticism is at least coherent). You can be paying for these games and provide horribly inaccurate criticism, or someone not paying for the game can still say something insightful.

Case in point, if you go back and look at the beginning of the original Sexbot thread, Llama was there happily interacting with F95zoners and responding to their comments, even though most weren't likely paying for the game. He seemed to welcome the comments, taking their criticism more seriously then, likely because they were the main population from which he was hoping to recruit patrons. Criticism from freeloaders was fine then, because he was trying to turn them into patrons. Same should hold true now.

All that being said, I do think criticizing a game you play for free should be done so intelligibly and responsibly. Don't just spew nonsense, in other words. Make sure you have a good grasp of what you're trying to say, etc. Punctuation . . . grammar, all that sort of jazz.

THIS is what i've been trying to do all day! yeah, side-by-side i can see the differences, but unlike many of the complainers, i can tell that they are the exact same renders, as Llamamann pointed out, just that the static image on the right looks like it was softened and worked on where the left one looks more "raw" and "crisp" if that makes sense....

Mr Llama, first: thank you for your work, i am very much looking forward to the new game and finally being able to buy the steam version in a few weeks. <3

My opinion about tech demo: I think it was fine, the direction is interesting and allows for more creative possibilities, so great job there. Phone being a quick and easy access to scenes and other goodies is an excellent idea for convenience of the player. Well done!

This section can be disregarded completely. I don't have issues with AI art, but if you compare Steve's room and MC's room you'll notice that in Steve's room there is a 'color scheme' and tone for the art that fits it perfectly(major green/teal fantasy stylised). Meanwhile in MC's some of it clashes, and doesn't looks harmonious (look at posters near the bed - they fit perfectly, then consider posters at the window - not so much and the one next to the door featuring desert). Plus the tiny wall strip near the window is cramped with 2 posters when it's not wide enough to aesthetically support them. Please don't get me wrong, i like the room redesign but its not 'perfected' as to what it could potentially be (the room is fine, but since it will be heavily used in game, before you commit to a thousand+ renders it would be prudent to consider some alterations). Its more lived in then compared to before regardless, so its an improvement already. No changes are necessary, its not a big deal, im sure it will grow on people regardless or they could just learn to ignore those details. Its not like during some hot scene people will be sitting there staring at wall decorations in contempt and righteous anger. "How could he do this?! My day is ruined!" XD
Also pretty happy about our pal Steve finally getting a bot. Go him!

Technical issues:
The only issue i had with models was Mai - there is something wrong with the eyes or makeup, or eyelashes its hard to tell. There is something off near the eye area i can't quite put my finger on it. She is fine on the small portrait, but in renders something is off with her eyes. Maybe its lightsource issues or eyelashes. (Scene in lift, i think its probably eyelashes or lightsource. I looked at her in phone menu and she is fine there. )
There was also a tiny bug with the phone, i remember seeing Meiko having double portrait and list after her was a bit off.

Personaly looking forward to more dom Alexa(prom 2 form is still peak), Lexx mentioned something about 'taking charge' that also sounded promising. I guess futa Alexa could be cool aswell. So far you've done outstanding job so i fully believe in your creative vision.

Oh yeh would it be possible to add recalibrated to steam while its in development some time in the future? Automatic updates are very convenient. Again, - thank you for your hard work! <3

Why? Because it's true. If you want your opinion to matter, put your money where your mouth is. Otherwise you're just throwing tantrums in forums and ruining the fun for the rest of us. Also btw, complainers and bitchers on F95 always consider their bitching and complaining to be "constructive criticism". Spoiler alert... It NEVER is. The last people devs care to hear from are F95ers who contribute nothing but insults and complaints without ever supporting any devs.

The tech demo was awesome btw, and the girls looked exactly like they did in the first one.

It's mostly the plugin that needs to be the latest version you can get, and sometimes extracting the game files can go wrong due to download corruption on android I've noticed, so might have to download the game again.

Everything I said just went completely over your head. Feel free to address the actual points I made, because everything I've already said counters your basic logic of "If you're not paying for the game, your opinion is invalidated." And no, if you're not paying for a game, what you say about it does not automatically make your comments a "tantrum."

That's not to say that this thread isn't filled with tantrums and complaints.

But yeah, of course devs shouldn't listen to people who contribute nothing but pure insults and complaints. That is implied in my comment. And I get your point: "But if a thread is reduced to being filled almost entirely with complaints, why should a developer bother to keep listening?" It's a fair point. To answer that question, I like to think of it from the perspective of a dev.

It really comes down to whether a dev is hoping to recruit more patrons, and F95zone still remains one of the best places to recruit them. If I was a dev starting out, I'd put my game here immediately and encourage people to play it for free. I'd need to know what people like and do not like about the game. And I'd actually welcome even complaints or poorly worded criticisms. And here's why: I've seen enough of F95 threads to know that sometimes the complaints do reflect a critical fault of a game. For example, I've seen people complain about a game being fundamentally ruined by not having a clear guide or hint system, and they were right. The problems can be about anything really, and F95zoners often pick up on them.

BUT, the point is NOT to fix the game for their sake; it would be to fix the game for those special few willing to pay. Why? Because it's likely those willing to pay will get annoyed by the same problems.

HOWEVER, that is not to say that F95ers, when taken as a whole, are entirely right all the time. So it remains up to the dev to decipher whether the general consensus of F95ers is accurate in any way.

On the other hand, if my game eventually thrives and I recruit enough patrons, I have earned the privilege of not needing to bother anymore with F95zone and the complaints, even if their complaints might hint at a problem. I would likely focus more on the patrons themselves, because now I have amassed enough of a population to provide enough criticism going forward. That being said, I would still leave my game on F95zone and encourage people to play it, even for free. The more eyes on my game, the better. Again, in a world boiling over with free porn, devs are competing for the minority willing to tip the devs via places like Patreon.

Naw dude. I've seen your type of argument trying to defend F95 whinging a hundred times before, and it's always a stupid argument. And it always devolves into bitching about patreon or how the developers make money which leads to entitled assclowns making "milker" accusations, blah blah blah... Seen it all before, and it's always nauseating.

At the end of the day, no you're not entitled to anything no matter what you think. And there is no reason why any developer should waste their time placating whiners on a pirate site.

Well, you're free to actually counter any of the points I've made, but all you're really doing is dismissing my points without making any effort at, well, thought. Nothing about what I said is stupid just because you say so; you have to try to show it.

"And there is no reason why any developer should waste their time placating whiners on a pirate site." I actually address this in my previous comment, which I updated in detail. But I doubt you'll bother to read it.

Have a wonderful day. Hope your nausea lifts.

Ultimately, you're just providing an insubstantial, uneducated comment just like the ones you've criticized. That is, you're bitching but not providing anything substantive.

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

You're constantly trying to start off topic arguments in this thread, and I'm dismissing your weak attempts at arguments about the dev or patreon because it's a fucking pointless topic and nothing to do with the game itself. If you want to off topic debates, go to the off topic thread. Congrats on derailing the thread with this bullshit though, genius.
