Ren'Py - SexNote [v0.23.0a] [JamLiz]

Is my first time playing it, and I didn't play it much because the map and wander in a house are a nightmare, you don't know where to fuck go, you have to go to the garage, you don't know where the fucking garage is, when I was trying to find it, for accident I leaved the house, then I had the problem that I didn't know what was the MC house because none of the places in the map has a name, so I entered the first house I saw and a quest started automatically, a quest that I think it shouldn't started because I don't know how the fuck use magic because to learn that first I should go to the garage. And that the rollback is unabled doesn't help at all either.

I'm gonna be short, as i mainly want to give this game the stars it deserves.

I'm fond of 2dcg (Taffy Tales, Summertime Saga, etc.), and this one is my favorite.

+ Art is perfect, and newly made "60 fps" animations look gorgeous
+ Models curves are over the top, and i love it.
+ Great quests diary to know what you need to do

- Some art inconsistencies, with faces a bit different from a static image to another. I think of Lisa specifically, but it seems to be reworked progressively.

TLDR: 7/10. It isn't perfect. It isn't the greatest game of all time, but it's still a fun and enjoyable game worth of your time. It gets 3 stars because it's closer to a 6 than 8.

In depth review for v0.14.5b

Story: I haven't seen Death Note so I don't know how much the parody factor applies here, so I wont rate it. The overall story is totally enjoyable, but a lot of times the story feels like it didn't read itself...

Writing: The way I see it, these games can have one of two type of stories:

• Attempting to make a well thought and developed story that makes the game as interesting and enjoyable as the sex itself.
• A silly and fast but funny story mostly focused on finding reasons to fuck.

This game is one type at moments and then changes to the other type. It mixes both types but at the end of the day it's just a big inconsistency, and not in a good way. When it tries to be serious it's just not a good story, and when it tries to be silly and funny it's just not fast or funny enough. I guess that there are 2 or more people writing for this because inconsistencies are everywhere and they can't even decide on how to use the incest codewords. Sometimes Kylee will refer Sue as "Sue", then "mom", then "your mom" while talking to MC but still "Sue" when talking herself as if Kylee and Sue weren't related. The writing isn't trash but it's probably its lowest point. Writing: 4/10.

Characters: There are 3 types of characters: RL people, not RL and OC.

• RL People: This is hard because it parodies a lot of characters that most of the times aren't supposed to act like the original characters or it wouldn't make any sense to do it. I mean, sure, how the heck you do Billie Elish in a porn game outside her look? How Billies's personality should be?
• Not RL: Here you have Hinn (the only not RL parody I think) which can be easily parodied because you know what personality she should have.
• OC: I wonder how many of these are parodies of people/characters that I don't recognize so I think they are OCs. Since these are OCs, it's completely up to the dev to make this characters feel as themselves.

Overall, the RL characters can feel generic and totally exchangeable while the not RL and OC do have their own charm, personality and development, but they still feel out of character or "not themselves" at times. It works for a porn game, but not for a story. Characters: 5/10.

The game itself: It's a kinda disproportionated sandbox, but it's still a great implementation of it. It's disproportionated because sometimes you'll have absolutely nothing to do and then have 4 events at the same time during the afternoon and some events take the entire morning and afternoon for some reason which makes no sense. It's a good implementation because the map and different locations do feel like they have a purpose, it has an in-game WT so you won't get lost or stuck, and the whole "collect magic power" does a good job working along the map while you need to level up.

Drawings/Art:
I will separte them in 2 parts: Sprites and Sex Scenes.

Sprites: All of them are good and unique, not to mention fuckable. You can totally tell who is who from the parodies while printing some adult vibes on them, and the character design for the OCs totally represent the personality they are supposed to have. Maybe more variety would be good? I love big tits everywhere but I understand if that's a problem for others. Spirtes: 9/10.

Sex Scenes: I started with v0.14 and in v0.14.5 they re-draw and animated some old ones. Animations are good, are sexy, do their job. If you start looking you can find "animation fails" here and there like random lines/marks floating around the scene and the body parts "breaking" from the rest of the body, but that isn't a major issue. Some animations may feel "absurd" for a sex scene, but it's still sexy so it works. Sex scenes: 8/10

Gameplay: The whole "collect magic power" is well implemented at the beginning but then it becomes too easy and leveling up isn't required for a lot of things to begin with, so it works for the sandbox factor and as part of the story but it falls apart in itself. It's just too easy, but I read complains about the game being too grindy on release so I guess the devs changed that and it's better if it's "too easy" instead of "too grindy" so I totally appreaciate that. The minigames are fine. Gameplay: 7,5/10

Codding/Bugs:
I had a few issues, but nothing worth of mention. 9,5/10

If I were rating only the h-scenes with the 'landladies' it'd be a 5/5. Excellent art style mostly done very well, not hand-animated but smooth and realistic (and sexy!) motions. More or less vanilla, but that doesn't really matter to me if it's good and in 2d. However, suffers from having too many side (ie non-landlady) characters who have inferior h-scenes both in terms of visuals/anims and detail.

Lewd scenes are somewhat interactive, ie you control how fast, slow etc. the action happens and then cum. Normally I'd put that down as a plus but the way it's done is annoying. The interactive options appear as choice boxes right in the middle of the screen, blocking out the action. Sure I can press 'h' to hide the UI but I shouldn't need to. Make a better h-scene menu, please.

Not much to say about the story other than it isn't infuriatingly full of itself and pretending to be a serious work of literature, so doesn't get in the way of enjoying the porno. In conclusion, 4/5.

The visuals are amazing, there's no debate here. However, it tries to accomplish several things but in my opinion falls flat. The animations, even though look amazing, they still haven't figured out a way to make the interaction as clean as the art. I don't know, such great art deserves a better system.

The story is not particularly interesting and doesn't make much sense to me, but I appreciate the character references.

Overall, great fapping experience (could be better if they improve the scene system). However, not much of game in other aspects.

Been playing this game since really early on and I never thought it would make it past the second build, but here we are like 19 updates later and still counting. The game obviously has a few problems but what game doesn't. Kudos to JamLiz for sticking with it and making it into a fantastic game.

Overall a really good game. The art standard is high, and where it isn't as good as it could be, it's being revamped. The gameplay is good and has a decent story with good characters. Good variety of H-scenes as well.

Really on the fence as to whether this deserves 3 or 4 stars. (pro's are marked "+"/ con's are marked "-")

Gameplay:
+ Free-roam, so you can actually pursue who you want to, but...
- A lot of characters require you to progress with other characters to continue to progress with the ones you want, which kinda sucks.
- Not enough time in the day (you can usually only do 1 or 2 events in a single day: some events skip a lot of time, and most events take place during the afternoon). Gets annoying always having to go back to your room to sleep between every other event.
- It looks like a lot of future content will be locked behind progressing with Jane, which means you'll be forced through femdom scenes even though she's the only femdom character (personally, i dont really mind this, but i'm sure others will).

Visuals:
+ Unique art style
+ 2dcg (which i prefer) and animations
+ Characters look unique from eachother
- There is a lot of variation in quality (however, there is an in-game disclaimer that they are woking on improving the quality of older content, which is a plus
- While characters look different, they all basically have the same body type
- MC looks like a younger version of the dude from Initial D, and if you can't tell, that's not a good thing.

Writing:
+ Characters are all unique.
- Really feels unnatural:
- I dont like waiting forever for sex scenes, but the speed we get to them in this makes me feel like every woman in this universe is just super sex-starved.
- Usually the reason incest is considered hot is the taboo of it, but none of them seem to focus on that fact.
- The MC ... if you're wondering what exactly was wrong with how he was written, well... i dont know a single positive thing about the way he was written and im not going to waste my time quoting everything he says, so you can just experience it for yourself.

Sound:
+ Has music, unfortunately...
- Pretty sure it was like one song on loop the whole time, dont know, i eventually muted it and played my own music.

I feel like i ripped on this one a lot, but trust me its not that bad, and id recommend you give it a try. If you like femdom, i personally found Jane's content to be some of the most enjoyable, so theres that for ya.

"Some Things on This Game Is Just a Miss"

It has good art for the female that is, the sex has a lot of good key scenes.
Character interactions are more of straightforward porn games.
The MC design is straight up trash, they gave like this -_- face the MC and boi it just doesn't fit well with the scenes it's in. I could see the devs going full parodies with a-certain-summer-game with his design but everything about him was just inferior and the giga cock is pretty bad. The MC took away so much from enjoying this game ngl and talking about parodies, the Mom route is just such a poor man's version of a-certain-summer-game and I hate that I got disappointed and keep comparing this game with it.
Using that music for everything and on all the scenes is also bad.

This is the third game i could fap to it and finish it completely (and i have tried like +10 games). I love the artsyle. Blowjob faces are good. I also love Jane's femdom content. Writing and gameplay is not the best but its okay

I like most of the female characters in the game. Mature women with big attributes <3
Most of the girls are hot and sexy.
The ones I dislike are the those that are from IRL or other games. (Hinata, B Eilish). With the only exception to Morgana. Think she was tweaked and made more busty and unique in this game. And Hinatas mother was a stand out for me.

- The sex scenes are good
They are very hot. We get very clear angles during blowjobs , and very clear angles for the girls butts when there is doggystyle.

Its a plus that the dev goes back and updates the animations for the old scenes too.

The grind is not very bad. Its easy to get abilities and progress in the game.

Overall, the game is top tier. I love it.
A pure wish fulfillment power fantasy. The game does not go out of its way to make the player feel bad about anything. Its a feel good game.

Idk what is up with these bad development decisions when announcing these called ´´reworks´´ but it seems it totally ignores the fact that the supporters voices are not being heard on the matter and instead the dev just says: Sorry, im remaking the game so suck it and deal with it!

Game was doing fine on 0.13.5 version until the dev decides to do this remake starting on Kylee and ohhh boy the changes was straight up awful!

Please compare Kylee from 0.13.5 and current version 0.13.9 and you see how old she looks! not even looking like an young girl and instead looking like a 45years old girl lmao and don't get me started with that clown nose she got :S

Now the dev announced a roadmap for reworking the other characters so i'm just gonna jump out while i can because my gut its telling me that there wont be feedback to be acknowledged from the supporters to the dev on reconsidering to cancel this bad remake and instead whoever still likes the game will have to deal with this ugly rework. while others are just not gonna be interested anymore because it looks plain awful.

grinding in this game its easy and not complicated and is just matter of spend max 45-50 mins to unlock everything so yeah its a short game.

Until the dev decides to reconsider to cancel this remake and revert Kylee's face back to an actual young girl, i'm not interested in this game or any future game of this developer since its clear there wont be feedback to be heard from his patrons and that kind of devs are the ones who should reconsider they are in the wrong and start listening to the people who are giving him/her a financial support for game development

Another boy in school gotta bang 'em all game, this MC lacks any and all personality, which is great if you like to roleplay, not so great otherwise.
The characters seem to be modeled after real-life people (mainly adult stars), which is kinda sexy, kinda dumb, but the art itself is hot. The story itself is pretty bland in spite of its fantastical premise.

Positives:
+ Hot, sexy ORIGINAL art
+ Wide variety of women's ages and body type variation (though most tend towards very exaggerated proportions)

Negatives:
- Characters are parody of real-life people, which is very take it or leave it
- MC is bland and looks mentally challenged
- Sub-systems and mini games aren't that fun

If you just came here for a quickie and some big booba then that's all fine and dandy, but if you're looking for a game then there isn't really much of said game.

Gameplay is click on location, then on girl, read for a little bit, then sex. Most (if not all) girls have a one dimensional personality, so the story pretty bland.

Easily one of the best adult games on patreon , top notch art quality , intriguing story, sexy characters and hot animations . It keeps getting better and better each update . Last update was by far the best yet and next one is with the hottest character in the game (personally) , can´t wait .

Love the art, and finally an actual plot. Sex scenes are kinda funky with the faster and slower thing. Wish they would just add more dialogue and have the animation go with that. I know it's basically too late at this point, but maybe after most of the content is done

I love the art and all the big boobs around, but you dont have any dialogue during sex scenes, and its just boring just watch some looping animations.
Another game that could be a masterpiece, but only waste potential.

So the animation is great, there are some that may not be good, but the others are perfect.

Problem is there is basically no story, it just feels like animations with some texts here and there but nothing special. 3/4th of the powers you have are used just for the sake of upgrading your powers

Another thing, I hate this faster/slower/keepgoing thing It would be better that it got faster as you clicked and read, and you could just scroll back if you want to see it again or use the gallery

And also the game just feels like a chore, basically you go do something 10 times with no difference and you get a scene and move on

I though this was gonna be like Summertime Saga which is pretty great but it wasn't but scenes were better though

One other thing was the emotions you see during normal dialogue is much better as you don't see any during scenes

If you love boobs you will love this game, With nice animated artwork with gallery mode, a good story that is updated often with hotfixes and story progression, It is 1 of my top 5 games from this site highly recommend this game to everyone

In my book this is one of the best games out there right now. The artwork and animation is awesome, the story is interesting without being overbearing, and the dialogue is very sexy. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, the relationships move along at quite a fast pace, but I enjoy getting to some action quickly without having to click through a novel's worth of dialogue.
