Ren'Py - SexNote [v0.23.0a] [JamLiz]

well written, incredible looking character art, nice UI (i think often overlooked in these types of games), built in hint system, and some interesting mechanics that have progression of starting as a chore to becoming easier as you get further along. really enjoyed what ive seen, looking forward to further updates !!

Update: This is the second game I'm pulling from my 5-star list. Dev has seemingly ran out of inspiration, and instead of adding fulfilling content for this and wrapping it up, they've decided to put advertisements in the plot for their new title (presumably before they dump this one). Since I wrote my initial review, the game has become overwhelming with the number of characters and intertwined events. "Can't progress with xxx character until you complete yyy character... SIKE you also need to complete zzz character too LMAO!". Also, the writing used to be okay, but became quite poor in later updates (even stretching your imagination, the choices of the characters and their dialog are both nonsensical). They also did my most anticipated character, Mia, dirty af (and not in the sexy way, holy shit it's worse than underwhelming). v0.19.0a was just the last nail in the coffin.

Update Update: After a couple of releases of not fixing the issues they created, I'm dropping this to 1 star and intend to leave it here.

The game is actually pretty good, I dont liked art that much and animations are simple but every else is done well, it also have a few small bugs but they surely will get fixed in near future. I'm definitely looking for next build and want to see a complete progect someday.

The incest a side this was an interesting game which could lead to something great in the end.
However the drawings seem to be from different periods of this artist skill and in different phases, early drawings lack in quality and look kind of childish compared to the later ones which are good.
This could eventually become a problem when the game is complete if not all images are in the same quality.

I wouldn't say that this game make the animation tag justice as 4-5 keys aren't animations IMHO so the tag should be removed for now.

The few hours it took to complete this version was well spent. It would've taken longer if I didn't use the "cheat code" but I don't like grinding my arse off with a game in development so thanks for adding that feature.

Art wise, this game is either brilliant or poop, with zero grey area. If not for the inconsistencies within the artwork itself, this would be a 5 star game at no mistake. The story line is set at a nice pace and seems to be developing well. Its not text heavy like a lot of games these days, which is a positive for me. It seems like a rework, of what I'm guessing is the older art, is in order though. Some of the mom's scenes, and a few others, tend to be a little pixelated. I'm also not a fan of the distanced art. There is no point in having a scene if the characters are so far away that you can barely make out the action, sometimes you can't make it out at all. Please give us a zoom in option for those scenes. The inconsistencies in the artwork tends to break your immersion. If you hide text, the character art tends to change. Scene to scene, the character art tends to change. It even changes during scenes. It's quite noticeable. The sister is probably the biggest example of this. Her face, body shape, and complexion are constantly changing from scene to scene. It feels like 10 different artist either have or are working on this project, and its not a good thing in this case. Non the less, its still an amazing game that I would HIGHLY recommend. After all, the scenes that are done well, are done EXTREMELY well.

I went into this not expecting much but I am please to say that my mind was changed. I love the characters' appearances and I find the parodies of Hyuga Hinata, Belle Delphine and Mia Khalifa amusing. Now this game does have it's flaws (but which game doesn't) and could use some work. But other reviewers have already mentioned that so I won't be doing a repeat of that. Please continue this game and keep up the good work. Best of luck to you.

So I enjoy this game. I'm amused by the characters, including those who are based off of popular media. I enjoy the writing for the most part. I find the Art to be quite striking and engaging. The mechanics are pretty solid and the spell casting is a unique touch in this genre of game. I don't however enjoy any of the H scenes, they are just a single general repetitive motion that often has clipping of body parts so it neither looks realistic or keeps you engaged. It feels as though the most important thing an H game can bring to the table was left as an afterthought and that's disappointing for a game I was actually quite excited for. Beyond that some events take the whole day or two sections of the day and considering your action economy is only three daily actions and most actions with the secondary characters seem to be confined to the daytime things can drag on. Once again, not a bad game, just a game that needs work and I look forward to seeing some changes in. If the game improves I'll change my rating.

I got pissed playing this game. Altought there are very hot chicks and some good animations (not all of them) and sex positions, the grinding makes it unbearable. I spent tons of time clicking everywhere just for almost no progression on the story. I wonder if the creator has played his own game and, if so, if he liked the feeling of wasting tons of time, having patience and tiring his hand on the mouse just for almost nothing..

Also, this thing of "parody" mess a lot with the immersion in the game IMO and show lack of criativity.

Hope my opinion doesn't discourage his work, wich i think can improve a lot, but be useful for new improvements.

The art is fantastic and the game has way more super sexy scenes than most games on here. There is build up and pay off, multiple times. There is enough content now to enjoy the game for more than one, *ahem*, session, and yet so much room for growth. This game will be fantastic upon completion, but may never get there like similar games on this site - not because of being abandoned, but because of the ability to pump money out of it by squeezing content for it out slowly forever.

Regardless, this game is breathtaking as-is, currently.

at the beginning his art seemed super strange to me, after 4 hours of play, I want more Hinn (hinata), maybe the only one I don't like is the nurse and the one in the chapel, outside of that I quite like everything, the history is not a big deal, it is something "original" to have two moms in this type of games, I would like to get ahegao but you cannot have everything in this life

Just played the game after waiting for quite a few updates and I have to say I'm disappointed in the lack of new material. At least half of the women in the game still don't have their storylines updated. Maybe in another year the dev might get a lot of content released, but I won't hold my breath. This game has a long way to go before it gets higher than a 3.5 star average rating.

EDIT: After playing through the game seeing a lot of missing images in multiple locations and traceback logs I had to lower my rating. The game in my opinion has a lot of work that needs to be done to raise the average star rating. Maybe I haven't seen some of the images that are the preview pics. Such as the "sister" in the bathroom using a dildo. Haven't seen that scene at all. Way more events for multiple characters need to be written. Maybe I will try the game in another year with hopefully major improvements overall.

Great game so far, great art style and story. Hoping to get more Jane next update and maybe a threesome with Sue and Jane. Keep up the great work. Big fan of the lore of the fairies. One thing I would add to this game is maybe a pregnancy option for the characters since the MC is creaming almost every girl he has sex with. But whatever you do I know it will be great.

I'm keeping the 3-stars because the animation and art quality improved an awful lot. The starting speed of the animations should be cut out, it's too damn choppy. The rest is just (almost) flawless. Hoping that some of the earlier scenes will someday get that love and get redone. But the writing/story...welp. "muh, it's a porn game, what do you expec-It's a porn game, but still a game. And, it's a visual novel, so almost no gameplay, what remaisn it's story (and the porn part). We had a glimpse of the main story, but the polls for the next updates say that it'll be getting first a handful of fucking with npcs (and it's kinda awkward how fast it happens), before the fucking in the story. The patrons are fine with this, so I'm too because I'll stop checking it out. Apparently this is one of those games that have some potential to have a good story AND good H-scenes (like another certain VN, but one that makes a fuckton of money per month, so no comparations because it's fucking unfair), but apparently the patrons are okay with just new jack-off material every month (and bigger and bigger tits). And the devs need to have a income, so...fine.
Good luck with the game. Maybe I'll check it out again next year (maybe then it'll be an 0.5v).

(For 0.08) I honestly think people are being a bit harsh on the game. It's got a pretty art style, a just right balance for the mechanics and although the characters could be improved a bit, i think the game offer a pretty good selection.

Now there is some good critism points such as the animations that i would agree could be better. Others complained about the grind, which yeah, i think could also be improved and shortened (The skill that allow to pick up mana automatically could have a lower price, that could fix it). These animations were improved in 0.08 for the new characters and will probably set the way in the future.

But the main reason why i think this game can have a good success is to ability of the dev to respond and take criticism and act upon it. I made suggestions a few months earlier that were well received and taken into account and can actually see them in the game. My personal note to the dev: It is crucial that you keep the good work you have been doing regarding the critics. I know it can be hard to face it sometimes but when you know when to admit mistakes, you know how to be better and deliver a better product as well.

My main suggestions would be to make minor changes to the grindy parts of the game (Mostly the mana thing where you collect bubbles) by perhaps lowering the requirements to buy the new perks (Or perhaps the one that allow automatic harvesting).

I also think a few improvements could be made regarding some characters to have more opportunities to learn about them as well as perhaps explaining some of their behaviours and such. I never liked people being assholes for no real reasons or for people to be shy without some kind of backstory for it. Some dialogues could be improved too.

But for real, it's a game with a great potential and a solid improvement since last time i've seen it.

Awesome game. Simple enough yet needs a bit of work. Shame we cant have sex scenes with all the characters in the game. The puzzle sometimes bugs out , even though its finished correctly it wont exit the scene. Great art and scenes, one of the rare games who's story i read and it was awesome

Game looked soooooo promising, but it fails on so many levels. The animations are horrendous, there are inaccessible characters/unavailable content present in the game, poor grammar that isn't intelligible, mediocre/unoriginal plot, etc.
The only thing that this game has going for it is the art, which ironically also fails in regards to h-scenes. The h-scenes' art is LAZY... the stepmom's asleep sex scene was likely rushed, mom's bj scene shows only her face, the list goes on and on...
Literally 95% of the h-scenes are hand jobs and the MC jacking himself off...
The game is waaaaaay too buggy aswell. I couldn't go 10 minutes without encountering parts of 1 place appearing in another and other bugs that took away from the immersion.
Last, but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, is the griiiiiind. Spent an hour grinding for magic points just to get a skill you never use in order to advance the plot, which results in the most disappointing scene with the step mom; the scene on her bed looks like it was sketched and colored in with crayons within an hour. Enough with the grind. There's a difference between earning a scene by doing some semi-difficult tasks and missions, and spamming my left click button to advance through text lines I've read 50 times already, waking up in-game just to run around the map to collect magic points just to return to my bed to repeat the process another 20 times to get a skill you use less than 5 times THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE GAME, and being forced to receive a hand job from the mother every 3 in-game days. Dev, you seriously need to play your own game and ask yourself, "What are the problems, where are they, and how can I solve them?" and "Is my game, at large, enjoyable?"

I can see that you're trying Dev, and I truly appreciate that, but as of right now this game a cookie clicker to me because of how grindy and unrewarding it is.

Between Okay-Likeable artstyle but contains some terrible shaped faces/heads . Story feels that its rushed and is sloppy . I also must point out the fact that this game HAS-NO-ANIMATION . 2 drawings for one scene isn't an animation and i wouldn't appreciate nor respect "animation" tag to be ruined by these kind of misleads . Game has potential but needs tons of work to be something great .

- Recently DEV started remake game render style and its literaly killing this game whole amazing render style... While we are getting 60fps animations he just makes every drawing pretty bad... Human noses looks weird, he literaly changed most hot looking girls to ugly allien like things and even animation physics looks bad now... This game was so good before this remake thing but DEV literaly kills his game now... Thats so sad to watch...
- With every update that well written plot and story starts feeling worse and worse... Dont know what happened but this cant be same guy which written that plot and story from the zero...
- He added some new things without adding tag or adding avoidable paths like FENDOM content of v0.14...
- Despite of gaining more power MC character development not changed at all.. He is still weak perverted boy from the begining and after that much power gain and content its feels pretty poor...

This game used to be pretty good game but with every update it became poor... It was one of my favorite games but... Its just lost that all quality with new updates...

Great picture. A game with great potential. A good balance between battles, craft and sociality I very much hope that this game will be actively developed and will attract the attention of a large number of players.
