I mean, some stuff are variations, like when she got 3 different outfit options, all pictures are there 3 times of course :D
Overall I found it pretty clear, like, for pictures with the Jennifer movie night for example, why would there be pictures of that, the only reason there are would be if you got a sneaky look and made one yourself trough choices :D

Nah, it gives you a little button on the top right of a chat about the person your chatting with, shows you what flags you set trough your choices, how your love/trust/friendship ect points with them are, so, more "meta" stuff :D

I got the sneaky look at the shower, but just didn't get any further choices with Jennifer after that. My only guess is that maybe I need to be less affectionate with Melany so the game knows he's ready to move on. Of course, it didn't have the exclamation point or emojis on any of those options, so I wasn't thinking about what the strategic choice would be.

Huh, that's weird. I already had that button before I turned Insight Mode on.

This is exactly why I hate playing choice-based games without a walkthrough. I might as well just flip a coin at each choice, for how much sense the cause-and-effect connections make to me.
