Sexual sounds in games.

This question goes rather for devs: Why in so many games there none of sexual sounds, even for popular ones?

Have to say I usually listen to music while playing games.
Although I would imagine if you were in an office environment a sudden burst sexual sounds may not be most appropriate (even if amusing for your colleagues).

Because most of them sound terrible and aren't worth the time.

Unless a dev is willing to pay a few thousand for a professional VA to do the sounds then it's not worth the time. A lot of us don't have sound on and some of us would rather have silence than shitty sounded generic moans that are about as erotic as watching 2 turtles fuck really slowly.

Some devs have done polls about adding sound and those usually swing in favour of no sound at all.

Simply put, the number of people that want sound is usually outweighed by the number of people that don't when asked about it so some devs don't bother.

I don't know what kind of game you mainly play nor which Sexual Sounds you mean, moans? or the meat slapping sounds.

For me I mostly play Japanese games and the moans + voice acting can be found mostly in VN, I sometimes find in RPG style games too but only with the ones with a big company.

For the "meat slapping sound", "ejaculation sound", wet sound effects etc. I've never seen JP game without these ones yet.

Most Japanese games have VA's that do a great job.

The devs around here are more amateur and can't afford that so it's either nothing or stock noises that sound terrible.

Even if he did, it would still be terrible if it's not then implemented correctly. Excepted Asian games, almost every time the sound make us hear a girl near to orgasm while the MC is still just kissing her ; what is totally stupid.

You don't need sexual sounds to make the game good; you just need really good background music during the sex scenes to set the tone.

it can get pretty distracting, a 3 second sound clip being looped is annoying so i tend to off the voice sounds

I can't fault the voice actresses themselves but most Japanese games do not sound "great" to me. Granted neither do Western ones but there I can at least distinguish "porn moans", "no! help!" and "girl enjoying it" most of the time, and while cringy most of them aren't physically uncomfortable while the high-pitched squeals are.

And then there's the games which use stock RPGM water magic SFX for ejaculation. Those are worth playing at decent volume just for the comedy value.

I'm also curious as well, I recently came across fiverr and noticed quite a few people offering to do lewd voice work for just $5. There's a relatively small added cost if you plan to use it commercially but for a lot of low-budget rpgmaker games, I would definitely prefer amateur work over the same stock moans and sounds.
