VN - Ren'Py - Shadows of Deceit [Chapter 1] [First Sin]

The tags and the screenshots with hot scenes are false advertising. This Chapter 1 version is just a short introduction to the story and at the end it shows a bunch of spoilers with what 's planned for the future releases. The screenshots provided now are taken from that preview of the planned content.

The story is a banal story with a MC who gains magical powers from a book.

The girls look great although a few of them are copy paste from other games.

If the game will progress, then I might rate the game up to 3/4 stars, but because of the false advertising and spoilers at the end I'm giving it only 2 stars at the moment. First time I've seen this lame strategy.

Building blocks for something good. The writing isn't trash, but there's not enough here to judge, its mostly just set up for whats here. There is no sex. There is no nudity. This entire first chapter is supposed to hook you into paying into the first three chapters on patreon. At its core, it just sets up MC everyone wants to bang and succubus story kick off. How you want to portray a woman breaking up with a dude all women seem to want to fuck including his mom and aunt is beyond me. Maybe someone should tell the dev being built like a greek god and a giant dick tends to make women ignore you have no money. All n all not a bad start though.

As with everything else I will never give 5 stars for a fisrt chapter of a VN that could easily be abandoned in a month. I hope its not, but in its current state not much is here. Also they have another game that is doing the remake thing......I'm cautiously optimistic this may be good.

Provisional Rating based on Chapter 1.

So far, so good. Lovely models, excellent graphics, and while the story conceit is a succubus trope, it is handled well. The slow burn with character buildup first is always the approach I prefer. Not too slow though and judging by the Chapter 2 & 3 previews the pace seems spot on.

Can't wait to see more!
