Downloaded part 1. Tried to unpack part 1 to try it out. Got told to "insert a disc with the required volume" and it refused to open.

Alright, how exactly should I be downloading these? I managed to download all four parts in the Split folder, and then could fully unpack the ridiculous 18gb of the game. But the Chapter 5-7 download also is an ~18gb download. Is that additional content AFTER parts 1-4 in the Split folder, or is 5-7 the download I want for the full game as up to date as it is?

From Ch-5 onwards the dev decided to continue the story on renp'y game engine as he was using the rpg editor for the previous(From Ch-1 to Ch-4) becoz he was facing some issue on that so he switched the game engine midway that's why there are different downloads .The ch-7 renp'y ver is the latest update of the game
First you have to play the rpg from Ch1-4 and after that Ch5-7 renp'y to be at the latest content that is available only if you wanna make sense of the story otherwise yk(The rpg ver is a lot grindy and you can get easily lost ,it takes much more time to play)
Ch5-7 is not the additional/optional content it is the continuation of the main story itself
There are three paths(Blackmail,Cuckold,Cheating) so in the rpg ver all these have the same number of chapters which is 4 but in the renp'y ver for every ch update we only get a update for a certain path(One or more than one path at a time depends on the dev). So rn the Cheating path only has 7 ch becoz the dev gave continuously the update of this path for every ver update like that so any of the path in the renpy ver may have less ch or update than the current ver shown of the game so don't ask for that where is the ch 7 for the cuckold path this and that . Tried playing the RPGM version first since that seems to be what you're supposed to do, but it's a bit all over the place and kinda takes forever. I somehow ended up on the blackmail path, but then certain dialogues weren't lining up with certain decisions and there were other issues. There also doesn't seem to be a guide for that version.

Are most people here playing the unofficial renpy ported version of 1-4? And then just switching to the newer renpy version of chapter 5 onwards?

Well yeah it's like that only as you have already faced the hardships of rpg ver
Renp'y is a lot easier to play and we can skip also
