Mario Kart is a game about Karting, but Karting is an actual motorsport and recognized around the world. Pretty much every major racing driver out there, regardless of the motorsport, got their start in Karting. Hell even the FIA(the international body in charge of governing and regulating most major motorsports, most notably Formula 1) has their own thing called "The FIA Global Pathway from Karting to Formula One".

other than that, this game is such a pain in the ass.
not sure if it's because i suck at it, or that rubberbanding is a big issue but a single mistake always ends up with me being placed 6th.

Sort of? I've never seen it written as cart, always karts. Looked it up apparently they CAN be written as go-carts or carts, but I think most people just call them karts, not carts

The one before they took bikes out and then put them back in.
6? Did 6 have Snaking? Ehh anyway this game's cute but it's really annoying.
Hope it improves as it continues evolving though, wouldn't mind playing more.

Great, I can't really start the game. On the "Before you play..." screen pressing space does absolutely nothing but I can click on the "click here" part. On the next screen with the controls however I can't do anything. My mouse pointer just vanishes and no matter which buttons I press nothing happens. Besides alt+F4 of course.

the images you can unlock aren't really doing anything for me, but the game itself is actually pretty fun! one of the patreon goals is animated sex scenes, those might be interesting.

for some reason the keyboard doesn't work if you have a controller plugged in. unplug your controller and your keyboard should work.

if your keyboard's still not working, go to the windows control panel and check "devices and printers". sometimes windows fucks up and thinks you have something plugged in that you don't. if you see a controller there but don't have a controller plugged in, just right click on the controller and remove the device.

I don't know if it's just me but I really suck at this game, even on easy I'm struggling to be in first place

This game is nice but needs more polishing on various aspects, especially the first tracks that looks too clumsy while the lastest are more clean and less clogged with things. Some of the art is okay some are just meh. Unlocks reminds me of CTR Nitro Fueled while the hidden racers that must be unlocked through a certain track are still and incognita to me since is not easy trying to "find a key" while you are launched at high speed trying to be 1st on a race. At least the "date gift" can be clearly seen thanks to their aura.

Another thing i've noticed is that not all the character have acomplete story? because it happen more than once that i did the story race just to ending up doing the first race, the third and then returning to the main menu, while in other occasions i got a different icon as reward (like a bunch of dollars and a silver cup) then the game will always crash

...for some reason i cant pass through the options part ("Before we Start..."), i already pressed every key on my keyboard tried to figure where my mouse was and tried to change resolutions etc and nothing is this bugged?

Edit: so i found out that the game doesnt recognize my keyboard even thought all the games i have accept it (i have some pretty old games on my pc and they accept it), dont tell me that i need a specific brand of keyboard, Thank god i hv gamepad or else i couldnt move foward this need to be fixed cause its really bad.
