Story & Writing
The story is genuinely interesting — a slow-burn thriller with lots of mystery that kept me hooked most of the way. I really liked the premise of having a mute main character, something you don’t see very often. It instantly made things feel fresh and different.
That said, the pacing can be rough. Early on, the sandbox structure made me feel like I was missing content or that I had to play certain side stories just to move the main story forward. Later episodes shift into a more linear style, which I actually preferred because it cut down on filler and pointless side conversations. Still, some dialogue gets repetitive, and sometimes characters act in ways that just don’t make logical sense. For a story that otherwise feels “realistic,” those moments stand out and can be frustrating.
The choices are a mixed bag. On the one hand, they don’t really change how characters behave in the moment — it feels like no matter what you pick, the story still goes the same way. On the other hand, choices do matter in the long run when it comes to endings. If you want to end up with a specific love interest, you need to build that relationship throughout the game. There’s no “harem” ending, but you can mess around with everyone without consequences, which makes it feel a bit odd. The only truly impactful decision ties to one particular love interest, since that path can unlock a special “evil” ending. The final episode is just the epilogues for all the available romances plus one side story, and you can play them all regardless of your playthrough.
Characters
For the most part, I liked the cast. Some stood out as really interesting and well-written, while others came across as a bit annoying — though of course that’s just my personal opinion, and you might not feel the same way. There are moments where relationships and humor lighten the mood, which works well against the darker mystery tone. But occasionally, the game stretches things too far or throws in sex scenes that feel completely mistimed in the story.
Visuals & Presentation
Visually, the game is fantastic. The style is kind of a mix between anime and comic-book art — not hyper-realistic, but unique and really appealing. Environments look great and feel real enough to complement the story, while the character art is consistently strong. Unfortunately, the animations during the sex scenes don’t always match that same level of quality, often feeling like a downgrade from the still art — but it’s not enough to pull you out of the experience.
Gameplay & Structure
The sandbox setup at first felt confusing, and I often worried I was missing content. When the game shifted into a more linear progression, it felt much stronger. Personally, I think it would’ve worked better as a fully linear story influenced by player choices rather than a half-sandbox approach. That way, the pacing wouldn’t drag, and the story could’ve stayed tighter. To be fair, it seems the developer realized this during development, so cheers for that adjustment.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’d say this game is very good. The mystery, the slow-burn thriller vibe, and the unique protagonist make it stand out, and the visuals are gorgeous. Yes, the pacing drags at times, some character logic is frustrating, and the sandbox elements don’t quite work, but the core story kept me playing to the end — and the twists and turns were always appreciated. The choices matter mostly for who you end up with, which might disappoint players expecting more branching consequences, but I still found enough surprises to stay invested.
If you like a mix of mystery, relationship building, and a unique art style, it’s definitely worth checking out. A solid, memorable experience.
