Wondering if you fellas have any interesting experiences with ERP in general that you'd like to share, or just thoughts about it.
For those that don't know, ERP is Erotic Role Play. Pretty common in MU* type games (mud, mush, etc), Discord servers, some MMORPGs and on F-list. The idea is that you and someone else simply roleplay an erotic situation, taking turns describing what your character does (posing). Some people get bothered by the thought of "it's a man behind that female character", I don't care and don't think about that, I just want some decent RP.
I also want to share my own experience with me unwittingly being a fucking creep and, some years later, trying to get rid of an insufferable bitch. Both on a MUD I play.
The first case, sometime in 2016, after our whole RP romp, the other person started saying how she never expected to come from just reading text, which boosted my ego through the stratosphere, then talked about how "I'd hate if something like this happened to me IRL", explaining how there were these times she got groped at parties and how awful she felt about that. She opened a lot to me and that roused my curiosity. I don't fully remember what I asked or how I asked, I think i tried getting more details on where she lived, but it must've come out as pushy and creepy. I don't know the the person made a different character and abandoned the one I played with, or if she just ditched the whole ERP thing, but I felt bad for a while.
The second situation lasted some time, between 2020-21. The TLDR is, much like your dick, don't stick your rp in crazy.
After one or two sessions of RP, she started bugging me frequently while I was online. It was all OOC (out of character) and most of the time, I just ignored her. What really bothered me was that, while most players do silly, "doesn't count RP" out of character, just to pass time, she would always come screeching and ignoring/mary-sueing her way out of any fun. Sometime after those sessions, asked if I wanted to play something on steam with her. Me, in my infinite wisdom, decided to accept. Well, her behavior wasn't any better in the games we played, mostly survival crafting ones. She also had a rotten finger for choosing, it was either early alpha or something that'd end up abandoned in 2 weeks. In more than one ocasion, I did tell her to pipe down and behave, to stop acting like a bratty bitch, but she always simply answered with "REEEEEE".
So, around June 2021, after she started bothering other people I was with, during an RP without her. After this, a Mod to talk to her. I also very clearly stated that, if she continued that behavior, she'd get a well deserved ban and I would say "good riddance". Thankfully, that finally seemed to enter her thick skull, as she stopped pestering me and other players. She also changed her character name, but never contacted me again.
