VN - Ren'Py - Shelter [v45] [Raus]

Absurdly well made arts, really competent with the storytelling and quite daring with the gameplay mechanics for a Ren'py game, this is for now my second favorite Ren'py game I have ever played.


My only complaint is that it can feel too much dense in text exposition sometimes, which is something a bit frustrating for a R18 game.

Shelter [v45]: A well made VN that likes nothing else on the market.
This is like fine wine, the more you taste the better it gets. A bit sad it doesn't get as much attention as it deserves.
Pros:

• A very well made Time Loop / Bad End system, that's fun to play around
• Clever use of animated sprites, combine with sound effects makes a living world
• Brilliant world building that's fresh, interesting, while oddly immersive
• Top quality arts and music
• Good writing that's well balanced between seriousness and silliness.
• An immersive and dynamic way to decide whether MC is top or bottom during scenes, your options are based on your past actions.
• A really good depiction of dog anatomy / behaviour

Cons:

• The Time Loop / Bad End system could be pace breaking if you just simply want a VN
• Being a Furry VN with good depiction of dog anatomy could be a turn off for some
• The unique world-building is not exactly easy to resonate

I've been playing this game for a little over a year and the writing is amazing, the characters feel real and alive, and there is hours of content, and never a dull moment in this fvn. If I could give it a 10 I would.

So far, it's an interesting visual novel. The characters feel fleshed out and interesting, and the world building is enough to keep me interested in the story telling. There are only few choices, and a few of them are immediate dead-ends, but there are a couple of branches that feel unique enough.

It's good work, so far, I hope the creator finishes.

I like it.... nice artworks/emotions and funny characters.
Some new Ideas, like the timer 2 react on questions, are interesting.
Sound-Design is fine.
The story ist good so far, but it's not easy 2 assess in this state of development.
I hope 2 see more of this game in the future!

edit: It becomes better and better! The quality makes it one of the best VN! There are so much routes, secrets 2 find and stuff 2 unlock for new playthroughs.
The spirits are also rly unique, even the supporting characters got artworks and a fitting personality.
