I started as a way to learn, so I went in without much planning and heavily relied on AI. It's an open world renpy game but it's kinda broken and I've kinda lost motivation to finish it.
Now I want to start a proper game, but I'm thinking I should post my first attempt to get my patreon/itch started and start gathering attention. The dream is to have a community, right? I'm just trying to figure out how to start out.

Yeah, I dunno. I think personally I'd rather launch my brand with something with as much wow factor as I can summons. If I check out a new Dev's work, and it's average at best, chances are I'll just move on. However, if it's quality or at least shows some promise, even if it's just short, then I'd be more inclined to follow. imo.
Just my 2c (if it's worth that. Not a dev , just another wannabe.).
Edit: However, having said that, it's kinda difficult without seeing at least a sample , even some of the art. Perhaps it has something more to offer than you credit it with. I guess you'll need to ask yourself "Can I do better or am I comfortable with introducing myself with what I have?".

Thanks for the reply. I think I''ll at least try to prepare a decent demo of it before uploading. I'm not too worried about having a bad introduction. I look forward to any form of interaction from my work. Especially if i end up getting advice on how to improve.

Idk if this is allowed to post but... I cleaned it up and posted on itch:

I'll reserve the patreon for something I'm proud of. This one was easy to upload and share. Maybe I'll upload to f95 soon.

quick breakdown on demo:
events every 5 to 10 love levels
her clothes get more revealing every 10 levels
you just progress by talking to her.
Sexual content: there's a blowjob and 2 voyeur scenes.
