In an incest game, assuming a 20 years old MC, and a 40 years old mother who looks like 20 years old because porn, what would you prefer about this matter?

Goofy post aside, it demonstrates one reason why someone may prefer the mother to be taller than her adult son, it reinforces a specific power dynamic. This is more necessary when, as op stated, the forty year old mother also looks twenty. Statistically though, this is basically impossible within a family. The general formula (in inches) for offspring height is:

Height (son) =

Height (daughter) =

If you take a very abnormally tall mother (6'0"/ 72 inches, 99th percentile) and cross with a very short man (5'5" / 65 inches, 8th percentile) the son would be 5'11" (71 inches). Mother would be barely noticeably taller than son. Anything less than that difference between parental height would result in the son being taller than mother.

I voted for taller mom, but really it's about the perception of maturity/authority over son. so if you can pull off a shorter mom who doesn't look like a sister or son's unrelated peer then I'm fine with that.

but generally speaking making her a little taller and heavier just sells the mom/son relationship better.

my mom character is the same height as son, but she wears heels all the time so in most situations she looks taller. I also make a point of mom having good posture sitting while the son tends to slouch, so there again she looks considerably taller.

Setting that kind of tired shorthand aside, the answer really depends on their aesthetics. A tall, lanky-looking guy with a cute shortstack mom is a good combo, but so is a cute-looking guy with a chubby mom. Some kind of contrast along those lines usually works well. Giving them the same general build to empasize their family connection tends to be a better choice for non-incest stories.

Just don't do the thing where the woman is very distinct and the man is as indistinct as can be.

Never ever make the mc shorter or yoooung. My largest irritation when it comes to incest games (or games and art) in general is the the cursed shota tag. There is nothing hot or enticing about a child in an adult game and i seriously wish people did it far less.
