Sick of games that make you be a dick to get kinky content

Seems like there's way too many games that force the player into the binary of 'be nice to the characters to get vanilla romance' or 'be a real piece of shit and force the girls into doing bondage/swinging/rough sex/etc'

Is it too much to ask for a porn game where the characters are on board and enthusiastic about all the weird sex they're having?

I feel you. I once played a game like that, but I don't remember the name. In the game, you had two options: treat a beautiful woman well and have a romance with her, or treat her like a piece of shit and force her into prostitution. As someone who likes the theme of sharing, why do I have to treat a sweet woman badly to get what I want? This disgusts me. I understand that there are fans of the routes where you treat women poorly, but creating multiple routes wouldn't kill anyone.

Are you asking for sex positive games? That's rare. I agree that the games are either a pure love story or hardcore rapefest. There are barely games where both male and female characters enjoy having sex and want to explore their kinkier side on their own without any damn influence.

creating multiple routes wouldn't kill anyone.
Each route takes time and effort to create, there's also the fact that we don't really like having too many choices because of FOMO and so making too many branches is generally not a good idea.

I can understand the difficulty of this if you're making a kinetic novel, but if there are already two routes, I think a third one could be added. Putting in extra effort would be beneficial, not harmful. Still, it's not a requirement, of course. I respect everyone's way of game development, I just don't find some of them logical. The example I gave above was definitely not logical, and it received a lot of backlash.

If it is completely optional then why you bother? For me, sex is... you know just sex. :BootyTime:

if you want it, make it.

while it might sound like consensual bdsm should be a thing, its existence as a fantasy is in polar opposition to bdsm.

what I mean is that each of the kinks in bdsm (bondage, domination, sadism, masochism) as FANTASY are inherently nonconsensual. while in REAL LIFE it's obviously crucial to include consent to practice bdsm, that is NOT the fantasy. the fantasy is to experience all these things as nonconsensual, that's the core of what makes it hot for a bdsm fan. it's not about having vanilla sex in latex suit, it's not dress-up.

a bondage sub isn't fantasizing about consensual restriction of their movement or bloodflow, they're fantasizing of being forced to endure it. they just need a safe way to experience it IRL and that's where the consent comes in, but it's not part of the fantasy of it.

similarly the dom fantasizes of forcing his sub, the sadist fantasizes of forcing discomfort and pain upon his victim, the masochist fantasizes of being forced to endure discomfort or pain. no one's fantasy is to chain a girl into a humiliating position in a scary dungeon just to ASK FOR HER CONSENT TO DO IT.

in real life you agree to limits and consent BEFORE the session, exactly to avoid pulling your partner out of their fantasy during the bdsm scene. if she's gagged or otherwise unable to tell you to stop during scene, you check for her consent in a way previously agreed to. like by touching her shoulder after which she can nod to go on or shake her head to stop. or you ask her, but even then you try to do it in a way that doesn't pull her out of her fantasy.

so now, when we understand the core of bdsm kink family, we understand why there's no demand for a fantasy of 'consensual bdsm'. it would be like watching a dracula movie where the count asks his victims "may I bite your neck and murder you?" and the victim answers "no thanks, I don't consent to it", and then dracula would go back to his castle without doing anything.

that's not the movie we wanted to see, we wanted to see the movie where the vampire ruthlessly forces violence on his victims against their will. the core of the vampire fantasy is it being nonconsensual.

now, that ofc doesn't mean a tourist to bdsm world can't or shouldn't want to see women in bdsm gear having vanilla sex, basically playing dress-up. but it's not bdsm, and no one who's into bdsm will make that game for you because it's not THEIR fantasy. you'll have to look into vanilla scene to find it or more likely make it yourself.

Games with multiple LIs, where you are forced into a preexisting monogamous relationship from the start of the game, merit a special mention from me. So if you want to romance someone else, you have to cheat or tell your wife/gf of several happy years, that you suddenly don't want to be with her anymore.

Maaaan, sorry, I tried to go through the "Latest updates" page with "male protagonist" and "cheating" tags on to try and remember some examples. But I guess I have played such games a long time ago and abandoned them quickly. The only ones I can remember are incest games like "Dr. Amana, Sexual Therapist", "The Higher Society" and "Intimate Relations". And in the case of the latter, I can't even remember if you have LIs other than your wife and daughter. You could, ofc, add a lot of female protagonist games to the list, that don't have "swinging" tag.
I am sorry that I couldn't really make your friend's usage of this site safer.
P.S.: "Lustful Voyage" would be a recent example. Though I am still interested in that game.

This thread was interesting to read since I have seen many people say they wish more games allowed you to be an evil POS instead of yet another weak willed or nice MC.

Have you tried grandma's house? No swinging but all the others and your character doesn't have to be a dick to get the content, in fact a lot end in cuddling and falling asleep together.
