You've gotten the basics from some helpful members but there's one more thing that you need to do - Have 3 posts before you can start adding sigs to the bottom of your messages. So post away, be active and then support the VN's you like

There's the GFX Request thread in the Artwork section under Programming, Development, and Art. Would probably be a good place to start, considering you can request them there if you can't make your own.
