signature??

I'm having trouble to upload a .gif into my signature in my profile. It's 300x125 .gif with 481KB for size.
When I click the image bbcode and paste the link it says: "something went wrong"

I also have another question, how do you attach a signature with a link in it on this forum?

To my understanding after trying different things, you can't use a signature that was resized and then hosted on a random website from outside this forum? You need first to posted it in here and then you can use the link that this forum provides?

1. Upload your image as an attachment in the reply box of any thread.
2. Click on preview.
3. Right click on the image in the preview and click on copy image URL/address.
4. Go to your signatures settings.
5. Click on "insert image" and paste the image's URL.

That's all, you don't need to post the reply with the image, and you can re-size the image in the signature settings.
