As of version 0.3.2, this is one of my favourite games I've played in a long while. Definitely a must play for any self-corruption and tf enjoyers.
Gameplay is of a similar style to Trials in Tainted Space, just with more cohesion in both genre and content. The focus of what this game wants to be is a massive factor in this.
The "grind" feels organic enough for it to blend with the gameplay loop naturally and not feel like any hindrance to the player. That along with the gameplay itself keeps the pace steady, which is exactly what you want.
No complaints here. Apart from that a combat difficulty setting would maybe give other players an option for how challenging of an experience they're after.
Characters are also very strong, with each of them having depth in their own ways and specific quests to deepen their personalities and motives and it makes you want to further explore the characters and see what else lies in store for them.
I am a bit worried that as more characters are introduced, older characters will be neglected... but that's to be seen.
But I cant wait to see how the gameplay, story and characters develop!
I do have a handful of complaints though.
Such as being disappointed that multiple choice decisions did seem to become less frequent as the game progressed. Not to say that they disappear altogether, but it would be nice to see them kept at a consistent frequency while impactful decisions keep their impact and don't get washed down. But this is a balance that can be found.
Another thing is the lack of corruption based options and dialogue. It would be nice to see the mc actively become more corrupted in personality while their corruption level increases, and options being given to the player as optional choices to reflect that level of corruption. An example would be pushing Emilia to embrace that very corruption, while a less corrupted mc would do the opposite. Along with the characters around you acting differently based on the corruption level of the mc.
Also being given the option and have branching decisions to further corrupt others along with the mc themselves would add further corruption customisation.
However, these are minor issues and also due to the game still being actively developed, so i hope they're more recommendations and ideas over criticism as this game has all the potential to continue on the great path that its already on. And all I've just mentioned could all be being worked on in the background anyway, or even surpass the small gripes i have into an even better form.
Regardless, i cant wait for what the future updates bring and what the devs have brewing.
