This is a game that happens when you have all of the ambition to make something but none of the vision to actualize it.
What seems to be an interesting, complex concept turns out to be buggy mess of directionless nonsense. By all means, the presence of the mechanics in the game are impressive, but none of them are implemented in a way that exceeds the surface-level idea.
Sure, you have scavenging and strategic combat and an open map, but none of it amounts to more than doing the same thing over and over while performing the most menial tasks over and over with very little practical difference.
Everything is implemented in pretty much the most surface level way possible. You gather food and equipment. You consume food. You wear equipment. You go to the next interaction and watch things happen. Same pre-generated text. If the game doesn't crash or softlock anyway.
