we only see her cg when she gets eaten.

Wait 1,2,3 not in gallery? Which one is that, I never see it lol. The only Otherworlder defeat scene I saw was the one similar to the tutorial boss (Nanny). Never even seen the Otherworlder slug scene.
You have to survive and protect Haanja, when she is ready the Otherworlder will traop you both in a rape illusion. You have to struggle to get free, but you get those scenes if you fail.

The actual defeat scene isn't in the gallery, where Lilia falls, the barrier around Haanja breaks and she gets turned to purple sludge. 1 is Lilia becoming a broodling nanny after that, 2 is the scene you need to struggle out of when you keep the barrier up, and 3 is if you don't struggle out in time. 1, 2, and 3 are in the gallery.

I think it's interesting how this is very different from SiN 2's scenes with the Father, probably a difference in their manifestation in the real world.

That's not so much a problem if they can exist in multiple realities. It is very easy to assume that Rabiane fighting in the fleshy hole against the eye of the observer and the slug fucking her in the dream state happens in the same time.
However, one more thing. It is possible that the slug fucking her is reality while the fight is the dream state, considering in that fight the observer can blast her with a laser, vaporizing her body, and then the sex scene progresses and she is back in the fight again.
It's both. According to Nennai, the Observer caught Rabiane the moment the entered the fake church, she is mind controlled into fucking the slug. Nennai explained that this stage is a world of nightmares akin to a new reality, created to torture and break Rabiane. If she loses, the mind control becomes permanent and she will fully accept the intercourse with he slug as one does with a lover. The Observer intends to trap her in a reality where she becomes a mother of higher beings for all eternity. This, ironically, spells its downfall because its current body is exposed to her attacks.
