A decent experience overall, but has a lot of missed potential and convoluted elements.
First, the story doesn't make sense. Although the title of the game is "Sister Love", there's nothing that indicates the girl is actually the main character's sister, and instead the dialogue seems to indicate this is some random person staying at your place for an unspecified reason. As you'll find, you get a lot of "seems to indicate" from the dialogue since it's probably awfully translated. This also makes the "virgin" tag pretty useless since:
- There's no buildup since there isn't an indication she is a virgin in the first place.
- There's no payoff. You're going to tell me a virgin gets woken up by some old man sticking his dick inside her while she sleeps and she's going to say NOTHING?
Ultimately story takes a backseat for this game, so you shouldn't play it for that reason.
The gameplay isn't much better than the story either; your goal is basically to run out of stamina without waking up the girl, which especially in the first few days of the game feels like a chore. This is because doing actions to consume stamina also raises the girl's "wakefulness", which if maxed gets you a game over. It's also extra punishing against impatience because as she becomes more awake, further actions will increase wakefulness further, meaning you have to wait even LONGER for the bar to go down. Essentially there's no reason to let the bar increase from the minimum at all.
All this being said, the graphics are quite good overall and the girl herself is quite cute, and the ability to manipulate the lighting and camera as well gives a lot of freedom in finding preferable angles.
A few other thoughts:
+ The game is pretty short (~30 mins max).
- There is no way to increase text speed, so conversations are a slog to get through. Combined with the aforementioned boring conversations to begin with causes
- Sex positions are limited.
- "Freeplay" at the end of the game doesn't actually return to the nighttime gameplay, but instead acts as a kind of "epilogue" with zero gameplay elements.
Overall the game isn't much of a time waster, and it's not your usual RenPy VN with shitty renders, but it's not very memorable either.
