It pushes devs to create double PC scenes while most players wouldn't even care to access half of the content you've whipped yourself into producing. Not every game has to be palatable to everyone's taste. Let feMC games be feMC, MC games be MC, and [insert fetish here] games be [insert fetish here] games.
Honestly this isn't said enough. As much as I love femprotags, some games don't get enough work done on them with ONE gender. Without mentioning certain fetishes that tend draw a lot of heat, instead of going to games that have something that don't appeal to you, just go to another game.
Also big-ups to you for saying it in a respectful way.

I really like the concept. It's surprisingly rare that games allow you to play not only the scum of our society, but the scum of the game's society too. Sure there's plenty of brothel managers and slave trainers, but in those games the society of the game universe tends to be A-okay with whatever the player does. The only other game that allows this that I can think of off the top my head is Overseer.

That's some really good advice, thank you. I'll definitely include some scenes with different genders and dynamics, but not try to overextend by doubling the number of scenes.

Well, I haven't really introduced any necessarily gendered scenes, and I wanted to flesh out more rpg-character elements, so I can probably implement male and female options if people are interested.
Would the female option include being in the slave role... or playing as a female slavemaster that is stripped of her role and brought down to a slave?

Much better this time around- you can see that you do have a vision, and a bit of what you're working on. I can definitely see this coming into something that will be playable in the future, and given that I love the theme, I'm excited.

I might try to echo some people here- don't get wrapped up in trying to make this for multiple genders and shit. It's not that different genders don't have their place or anything, it's just that you can easily lose focus, spread yourself too thin, and the game suffers. Hell, I actually prefer games where you're a female protag and you get abused and/or enslaved, etc. so it's not like I don't like that as a possible theme, or a female slaver as a possible theme (though that doesn't really do it for me), or any one of the other 356million genders, but if I were you, I'd wait, let the game take shape, get it to basically a finished state where all you're doing is adding increasing amounts of finished content to a finished game, and then look at that kind of thing, or develop a second game for it. The problem with that kind of thing in a single game, especially if it's just one person making the game, is that it's like trying to develop multiple games at one time and getting pulled in all sorts of directions. You'll just burn yourself out, and get nothing done.

Now on the other hand, if you restricted yourself to coding, and then brought aboard a few people to write (1 for Male Protag, 1 for Female, 1 for female sub content, etc.), and then also at least one person per kind of content whose job it was to find the pictures and videos and crop them for better viewing (mine, for example, takes a lot of scrolling around, because they are large enough that even at full screen I'd be scrolling, and I don't like playing at full screen), then you might really have the freedom to do that without either the game suffering, or you personally suffering. Just my opinion, I see it all the time with game devs, and there is no better way to slow development to a crawl, or kill it entirely.

but i get "this is the debug startup page" and thats it
The launcher is a launcher, not an installer. The "debug" page is just the start up page, it's a place holder. There is a single choice, and it lets you continue. There isn't really enough content to play, but it might give you an idea of what's going to come, in theory.

Out of curiousity, in your description you mention you'd get a collar around your own neck, but the protag is male and the context seems to indicate they only deal with female slaves.
What are you talking about? The 2nd screenshot is all about there being a market for 'welching little bitch boys'...

Because it's an easy language to work in that supports art, sound and video and is barely more complicated than creating a standard HTML page but maintains a weakly typed language around it. It doesn't require you to learn Python or even programming in general really, there's a fairly decent toolset around and ultimately you can deliver a game pretty rapidly focusing on content rather than code. Also, the QSP people tend to be very helpful in terms of helping out other QSP developers with where they can optimise their code.

I actually prefer QSP games, and having written new text for any number of games, and machine translated a few, I find it much more palatable.

I haven't played it as its still early in development but it looks really interesting.
If you have any QSP problems I can help, I'm no programmer but I've been fiddling with Girl Life for 6 or 7 years now so some stuff has rubbed off on me. I'm a bit slow checking here but you can PM me or hit me up on the GL discord if you are in a hurry. :D

My advice is make the male protag version and once you have that working enough to have complete training working and career goals set then see whether you want to add female and/or futa protag. Otherwise you'll just pick up more and more sidetracking stuff and then you can lose focus on your finish post. That's when feature creep wins, this is bad. :LOL:

All I can say is that the game has potential to be great and somehow feel like wife trainer in a darker premises. Background story seems okay and almost no typos. But the content still too short for me to grasp how you gonna shape the game. Will you make it focused on training like wife trainer or will you make it more like a life sim or different directions altogether. Although personally I'd like it if you decide to go on hardcore darker training focus to give more immersion on the whole sexual slave theme.

I second this, In this 15 minute demo you get the chance to use sensory deprivation twice. That's a good start. looking forward to more and like the dark direction It could lead.

Also idk if this has been mentioned but I would like to suggest adding different photo sets for different types of girls EX: BBW/Skinny, Black/White, Granny/MILF/Teen, etc. .Still save that for later just focus on getting a bite sized game finished first and flesh it out after with the extras.

better this version than the previous one now you just have to go through ai work a little and in the next version at least finish the training system etc to get a general idea of the system and complete a couple of main characters for the story to progress

Bundling the QSP player is a good idea, I'll include it in the next build. I was worried about rebundling someone else's work (thinking about how strict nexus and such are about that), but this is a piracy forum anyway, so...
You won't suceed in pirating the player, ever. It has the most effective anti-piracy protection imaginable, impossible to circumvent: It's open source.

Only suggestion I would make is that you document which exact git commit you're using for the bundled build, and provide source code if you make any modifications (or just push them upstream). And maybe consider some way to auto-patch the game media, nobody wants to re-download gigabytes of video snippets all the time, or scrouge through forums to find the right media pack for the right game version.

I've been modding EVIL 2 which is a QSP game. There is slave training in that game but it isn't the main focus. One of the biggest challenges with the slave training part is finding high quality videos. For some reason, most BDSM porn videos are low quality. I've looked at many sites and that seems to be a pattern. If you have a paid subscription to a BDSM porn site that may yield better results. I've also noticed that most of the porn stars willing to do BDSM and abuse type videos aren't the prettiest unfortunately.

You really should have waited to post this until you had the framework in place and a working demo.

Yeah, that absolutely makes sense. I'm going to spend most of my time now either ironing out and balancing the core gameplay loop, or adding focused narrative content, rather than try and expand the scope at this point.

I'm not necessarily opposed to collaborating with someone, but I'm really only going to be working on this when I have the time, and I like the freedom of working on every aspect of the project (and also being saved the embarrassment of people seeing my sloppy coding)

Thanks for the offer! I'll definitely take you up on that at some point, It could've saved me some time earlier when I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why my dynamic code wasn't looping like I thought it would.

Yeah, way down the line I'm going to look into image packs like that for the core training loop to prevent it from getting boring. I'm definitely going for a darker theme, and hoping to reflect that in the narrative - lots of bastards, lots of corruption, want to make that clear in the writing. Human traffickers are not great people.

Open source truly is the hardest to pirate, there's no-one to pirate it from (and I am a dumbass, lol).

The auto-patch is a really good idea, I'm sure as the file gets larger it'll be an even greater pain to download the whole thing again every time. For 0.4 I'll add an update version that only includes new img/video files and the new .qsp file, but I really don't have the technical knowledge to do anything more sophisticated. Bundle some sort of script that checks the game files, then downloads missing media from a server?

I haven't had any trouble finding images yet, but I am using a subscription. I was definitely premature with uploading, but all of the feedback so far has been really really helpful. I'm just about to upload v0.3, which is probably the version I should've uploaded first! The basic obedience training system is in place (sexual training still in the works), implemented items and a store, the ability to sell your slave, and a good chunk more narrative content that properly introduces a few characters and gives a much clearer picture of the plot and tone. Attached are some screenshots for this build (I'm adding them to the main description and I wasn't sure how else to upload them to the f95 server other than through a post).
