There's a difference between crazed fans and understanding consumers. Defending Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft for their scummy practices is one thing, defending a random, independent artist on the internet is another entirely. to add to this, you are criticizing on a place where the artist will not hear because duh, pirate website, so only the leakers will see, who are getting increasingly tired of giving paid content for free, to only be met with criticisms to the artist.

Slow is Slow no matter the excuse, and he wants money for his work which is what makes it unacceptable. But this only should matter to ppl who... actually pay. Its only $5 a month and Smug always pauses sub payments when they don't have updates for a month or so. This is like being mad when someone subs to a streamer on Twitch while they are going through/doing something that keeps them from streaming very often or hardly at all. Like another person already said, holding indie artists to whatever standard is kinda goofy. If you still don't like it good thing its not ur money i guess.

The problem is thinking that this is paying for a product, it's literally called support tier in their page, you're not paying for content, you're supporting an artist and getting some benefits for it, that's it. If you treat it as a payment you're just losing money, because the final product is always going to be cheaper if even paid at all.

At that point you're treating the person like a machine, which is unfair. People are not obligated to keep paying if they feel they are not getting what they want out of it or if they don't want to support the artist, sure, but the artist is still human at the end of the day. At the end of the day though, unless you can do art as well as they can as fast or faster than they can and have paid out of your own pockets to support them at least once, then I fail to see what makes you or anyone else who's been calling the artist out the authority on what's considered "slow" and/or "unacceptable." If you don't want to support them with your cash, fine, but if others disagree and want to support the artist, just let them.

If something is taking longer than expected, that can be frustrating, but it’s also fair to recognize the value that can come from taking more time to ensure quality. Also my job have €18–€22 an hour. Its only $5 a month. A $3.29 per burrito a day. I rather give a tip to creator.
