Others - Completed - Sodom-R [Final] [Pasture Soft]

This game had potential but unfortunately it is not enough to be recommendable. Probably the shortest beat'em up i've every played. And the h-scenes makes it worst... They are well animated but way too repetitive. Makes me sad because it could've been a hidden gem if the devs worked more on it. The music is great with good headphones though

Gameplay is pretty mediocre while the h-scenes are quite bad.

In the entire game there is only one h-animation that's actually really nice but beyond that all the rest are far lower quality.

My advice would be not to bother with this game its a waste of time. But if you really are curious, grab the full save on the forums here and just check out the gallery then pop into the game and try the combat for a bit and you'll see the game is really just a waste of time to play.

Usually, when I do reviews, I go fairly in-depth, but this game doesn't feel worth it. Frankly, I feel it's bad, but not as offensively bad as some other dross I've played, so here's a brief breakdown:

The Good:
- Art's alright, I guess, but honestly nothing exceptional compared to most other commercial releases.

The Bad:
- Combat's crap, to be frank. Awkward movement, weirdly floaty attacks, little variation in tactics available, and you can mostly get by by spamming the invisible sword attack and staying in that stance.
- Animations on the whole are pretty basic, in grapples, sex and fighting. The girl doesn't even take her sword out when she does a sword attack, which I think sums things up well.
- Sex content is about as minimal as you can get while still qualifying as sex content. Only a few enemies with some pretty basic grapples (some vaguely gropey, some not - and not particularly great from a ryona perspective either), some very austere sex animations, and a handful of generic CG's. There's no attempt at anything inventive or interesting - not even some lesbian content, despite a female boss.
- Voice acting is... I think not terrible in quality, but the moans and grunts repeat a lot. Literally the bare minimum.
- The translation's far from the worst I've seen, but does seem to be incomplete, with quite a few stat sheets and similar things left not done, and what isn't translated does have occasional spelling errors or weird word choices.

The Neutral:
- Length isn't huge, so you won't spend long playing this, should you choose to subject youself to this.
- Story's barely there, but considering the translation, that's maybe a blessing.
- There's an apparently trans/crossdressing boss which the game seems to go out-of-it's-way to point out, and... I'm not really sure what the point of that was. They don't look masculine at all and don't have a sex animation or CG. I'm not for or against that, just... I thought I'd mention it, as I have no idea where the game was going with it.

Overall, this game feels like the bare minimum attempt at being a porn game, and if you've played basically any other game, you've probably seen what this has to offer, already done before. I'm actually a little surprised shovelware like this is still coming out in 2020.

The only good thing about this game is that it's short.

It's a very basic Streets of Rage-like, and I do mean basic.
You've got a punch combo but that's it - no using arrow keys to do other attack combos.
Punching is pretty pointless anyway as your sword attack is so much better.

Sex stuff:
No combat rape, despite grapples, only rape on lose.
One positive though is that you can continue right where you lost, and the enemies even keep their damage.

I present you "Meh, the Game"

Seriously, have you ever seen a game and though "Yeah, I already know everything about this without playing" ? That's it, that's what you will feel.

If you want a TLDR : The game is really short (4 levels) and really not that good, so, if you have 30 minutes to spend and nothing better to do, be my guest.

Story : Yeah, big bad city full of big bad guy, you have to beat them up, and that's it, there.

Gameplay : Everything you ever dreamed of for a beat them all is... Not here. The game is easy, the parry make you immune to damage, you rarely take any form of knockback when you're hit, the boss (there is 4 levels, btw, so 4 bosses) have some really shitty paterns. Just, punch a little, stack some mana and then, sword slash your way out of every minion, by the way, I don't even understand the interest of a jump button. Like I was saying, the game is like, 30 minutes long, pretty much a saving grace for that game.

Sound : Pretty underwhelming, the gun shot sound give the impression that they're shooting you with an airsoft weapon. Special mention to the "girl" boss who is the only one with a decent amount of voice lines, because people needs to know it's a dude, I guess ?

Graphic : Honestly, pretty meh.

H-Content : So, each different enemy as a grapple animation and a sex one (except one fucker who as no grappling, because why not) they're are good enough, but certainly not inventive. btw, 4 boss, 1 with H, like, the three other don't have anything to give, so... Meh again.

Special Mention : Once you finish the game, you can play with the second girl, but honestly,the gallery unlock herself for her, so why shoud I suffer that gameplay again when it's not needed ?
