[SOLVED] advanced search only shows 50 pages

Is there a way to show more than 50 pages when doing an advanced search? When searching for a particular tag, it will only show 50 pages, and I know there are games that are missing in that particular tag.

Sometimes I know what a game looks like, and not necessarily the name of the game, but I know what one of the tags are, but when I go through the results, it isn't on there. I feel like I'm missing something. If I narrow it down to just Renpy, I get even more results, but still only 50 pages.

Is this a function of the site to save resources, or is this something I can change somewhere in the settings? Thank you for any help you may give.

Also, when I select the option to ignore games with the Abandoned tag, they still show up in a search. Idk if I'm doing something wrong there, but that would also help drop the number of irrelevant games showing up

Pretty sure this is done to save database resources. You're far better off to use the Latest Updates page to search for games. The link to that is also at the very top of the forum:

Qahlz I figured that may be the reason, kinda sucks, but what can ya do... servers don't grow on trees. I've used Latest Updates occasionally, I will try getting a little more in-depth with it, see what I can find.. I appreciate the suggestion

Count Morado it's back to being solved. I had the option "relevance" selected instead of "date"... I confirmed it, I do now have the "view older results" option, sorry for all the hassle

No problem. I didn't know there was a difference in those results options.

I only search by date because relevance usually doesn't yield what I expect relevance should yield.

yeah it's surprising the differences between different settings and searches.. like if you search threads and you have don't show abandoned games on, it will still show abandoned games, but if you are going through the main page then they won't show.. or like with my issue of the view older results button not popping up.

I don't have room to talk though, I'm neither a programmer nor web-developer
