It was an army unit management game. (e.g. archers, cavalry) At the start of the story you luck out in a war against a wizard and managed to kill it. So they promote you and now your status higher then your bitchy ex boss. But she has connections with higher status people(if I remember correctly her dad). So you have limited time to make her your willing slave or something.
In gameplay you fight agains monsters to get prestige and money to strengten your army.
