It was Renpy. I remember the MC is a Fit Male since he worked blue collar so hard to keep his mother alive due to this MC never went to college. MC and his mom was close friends with a mother and daughter in which MC now takes the room of the daughter since she moved out with a roomate. Two intro girls I remember near the start is a annoying girl store clerk which ignores MC and they have a conversation and something along the lines girls is working in her dads store as punishment. The other girl near this intro is you mean a girl at the library.
In a later scene you will visit the former owner of your new room which is your childhood friend and she does painting and stuff (something about competition and she still does not have her entry) on your way out roomate does something sexual with you not sure if it was 1st or 2nd visit thought.
I remember childhood friend will ask you to submit here application to her university and you will meet the teacher handling it and not sure how the interaction went. Overall at the day of the painting gallery thing MC will see a painting something called the promise which he has a flashback on a promise he made with another childhood friend (old childhood friend something about MC moving when he was a kid) to go to same college one day so they can meet again. I think that was the ending of the update I played.
