I’m trying to find a 2D Ren’Py game I played as a free demo on itch.io. The game was very much still WIP at that point. It was a mix of visual novel and light strategy with a node-based world map. I was a 2D games set in a fantasy world.

- The game starts with an attack on the player’s city. You play as the city’s commander trying to defend it, but mages blow up the gate and you end up unconscious.
- During the attack, your wife and son are killed.
- Gameplay involved choosing which location to move to and recruiting a new general for your army. Every location had an army battle and a VN story.
- Battles were turn-based menu choices – you decided whether to send infantry, mages, or cavalry, you recruited your generals.
- The enemy is an Empire invading your homeland.
- The protagonist is a foot soldier with a cursed sword I think.
- Generals I remember:
- Blue-haired female mage (at some point reverses her aging and becomes leader of mages)
- White-haired female cavalry commander
- Harpie general
- There were recurring enemies like succubus assassins who would ambush the player and you had to play a minigame to beat them so they would cum first.
