Medieval Setting
Plot was guy is a mage goes into seclusion and comes out and now he has a kid. His daughter and the kingdom get sick and he goes on a quest to save them, and his slave saves the kingdom from an outbreak. He saves the elf princess on the road. He takes the princess home and then gets the princess and her bonded elf as wives. The elf god gives him a talking cat familiar for helping. That's all I really remember.
