This isn't really a dev question, but this seemed like the most appropriate forum. A game I like has gui sounds that can't be disabled (at least not without completely muting sound). The sound files are all in .rpas. Suppose the path of one of the sound files in the archive is "sounds\ding.ogg". If I create a "sounds" folder in the same directory as the .rpa and put an empty "ding.ogg" in it, will my file be used instead of the one in the archive?
Edit: Nope, that approach doesn't work. If anyone has any other suggestions to try I'd love to hear them.
Edit again: Actually it does work. For some reason the game has multiple copies of the sound files and I chose the wrong one first time around.
