To be more precise, I don't mean that the patched game doesn't run, it's that the game is running unpatched. Examples: CLANNAD HD Edition +
Intended behavior:
CLANNAD HD Edition: If you're running a pirated game with this patch, the game will have a pop-up ask you if you wanna buy the game on Steam. If you press on "Có" (Yes in Vietnamese), the game will open a browser tab to the Steam page of the game, and the game will run with the patch applied. If you press on "Không" (No in Vietnamese), the game won't run. Ofc, if you run the game legitimately, the game will run patched automatically
Boku no Maid: The game will run in English automatically
This was tested on Arch Linux with wine-staging. Proton is unavailable because my hardware is too old to support Vulkan
