So if I remember it correctly the game was a renpy game in which the protags world got destroyed but shortly before that a demon showed up to help the protag and then he get's taken to an island where he is to manage the island

Not renpy and can't remember the exact starting plot but demons do get involved and the going to an island and managing it could be Hail Dicktator .
