HTML - Sonata [v0.5e] [GlossandGlamour]

I really enjoyed this. If I had to sum it up in one sentence, it's loosely: "Evangelion mechs vs eldritch kaijus in the post-apocalypse, but everyone has a latex and bondage fetish". And I'm here for that lol.
The story seems to be going towards an interesting place… with that slow burn suspense which makes you want to keep reading.

The writing itself is also quite good, both the descriptive prose and the dialogue (as Gloss & Glamour games tend to be). I haven’t done multiple playthrus, so not sure how branching the paths are…but there are alot of expressive choices in the little moments. Often you are give 3 or 4 responses ranging from scared/submissive to rebellious/dominant; the classic “No I’m not a slut!” to the coy “I'm a slut but don't want to admit it" ... to “I’m an unrepentant sex slave!’.

It's very psychologically hot, as you can feel the internal struggles of the protagonist. You know how on steam there’s a category for “psychological horror”? I feel this game should get a tag for “psychological erotica”.

My only grip is, as someone who's visually driven, I wish the climax scenes had some gifs. Even a sexy picture or two would be nice. The build up and tension to the climax is exquisite, but I’m left abit wanting without a little visual stimuli as a reward for climbing there.
Still, a fantastic game. Love the writing. Love that certain kinks are part of the worldbuilding. Looking forward to see where this goes!

Currently, still the single best HTML game I've played. There writing is very detailed and well-written, the story is coherent, and the options feel like they matter. Its really the only game I check if they updated daily.

Quality writing, a setting I love, and choices—consequential or not—that support the narrative beautifully for BDSM submission-play and for edging. Haven’t explored everything yet, but there's already a ton of content to enjoy.

I was extremely happily surprised about this game!

Obviously the game is all about submission and bondage. You can resist the submission it seems, but I didn't explore that path. That said, it's strongly implied that no matter your choices and acts of rebellion, ultimately you'll always be a sub. I suppose it's just a question of degrees, or willingness. :>

But what really sets it apart from most bondage & submission games & stories is that it's not *just* that. Something about the fetish makes it so most of the time there's nothing else. They start and end with bondage, and there's often no sex, no power play, no choices, really nothing at all beyond just sitting still all wrapped up and that's that.

Sonata doesn't go *much* further than that either, but it does, and it's enough. And that small difference is vital to me. It also keeps teasing about more, leaving me hopeful for future updates. Contrary to most bondage this also doesn't stay stuck at boring (imo) edging, but there's actually a pretty big post orgasm torture section just before the end of current content too!

For v 0.5 there's hours worth of stuff. Even being text-based the pacing is good, and the writing isn't overly verbose with thousands of walls of text like most, but hits that sweet spot just right: It's descriptive, immersive and wonderful, but never too long & boring. The story is addictive levels of interesting, and hooked me almost instantly keeping me firmly in its grasp throughout. I really, *really* want to see where the story goes, what's going on, and what happens to us. Which I probably don't have to tell you is rare when it comes to h-games.

Anyway, I highly recommend this to anyone who's into submission & bondage, sci-fi & a good story. Especially if you find usual bondage too stale and boring like I do. (It's tough being in that spot where you love a fetish, but not its mainstream version )

Wow i liked this game, i will admit i was not expecting much but i am so glad to be wrong, the writing is amazing by far the best i have seen in a HTML game. I always lot when these games can have a good story while also having spicy content and this game does that perfectly, i cant wait for future updates to se where the story goes.

Fantastic writing, intriguing setting and sexy characters. One of the best sexytimes story games I've played so far, along with Lost in Laminate. The bondage and lesbian theme may not be everyone's cup of tea but for those whose it is, this game is a true gift.

I was wondering when this was going to show up here. Glad to see it reaching a wider audience.

The good: The writing, world-building, and sucbject matter are delightful, as I pretty much exepect from GlossandGlamour (seriously, read their other stuff too). If you're a fan of scifi and porn, this should do it for you, so long as you aren't obsessed with tentacle monsters from space or something. The world is unlike the Torean stuff as you play one of the few submissive characters in an otherwise somewhat "normal" world, allowing for all sorts of fun humiliation and embarrasment on top of the bondage. The focus is on a deep dom/sub relationship, bondage as a necessity, brawinwashing/mind control, that sort of stuff. The world is mostly inspired by Evangelion, with a bit of an Attack on Titan vibe for spice, and a healthy dose of BDSM.

The bad: The images are a grab-bag of real cosplay images, drawn stuff (especially the bondage), a few AI images, screenshots from the NGE anime, and a few videos/GIFs of the same. There are only ~200 images with some characters only having a few images at all. Due to this low number and mix of sources, it just feels really inconsistent and can be even a little distracting. I want to see the character being put into all this bondage, not just see a weird diagram of an armbinder and dildo belt several times. For some reason this feels like more of a problem here than it does in the other Torean stuff. Perhaps because I have such a solid idea of who the characters are that them going "off-model" into a drawn image with different hair, proportions, seems so strange.

It's also a bit short, but hopefully that changes as it is continued to be worked on.

The ugly: It wasn't really a problem for me, but there honestly is not a whole lot of sexual content if you're looking for stuff like "X licked Y's pussy until she came" sort of stuff. In fact, there are some points where the goal is to complete the scenario/encounter without cumming, or where you're basically left alone getting forced orgasms for hours. To me that was appropriate for the setting, but for others the lack of "simple" sexual encounters may be a dealbreaker.

Awesome story from the same writer as Lost in Laminate and Stables of Cyn. Captures a very erotic atmosphere for all those who like to submit. If you love submission and bdsm and mecha and plugsuits, then this is the game for you.

Another excellent game from GlossandGlamour. The descriptions are realistic, the world is rich and surprising, and the kinks are very well integrated. It's rare to find a game like this that immerses us enough to feel what the characters are going through.
I sincerely hope the story continues further.
