To me, a visual novel is first and foremost a story — before it’s a game. It’s an opportunity to tell a narrative the way you would in a film. So if characters die or disappear, it’s never meaningless; there’s always a reason. That’s why there are no “wrong choices.” You just have to let yourself be carried by the story… and eventually, everything will make sense.


Later on, you’ll realize that some characters had to disappear — it serves the story. I'm especially thinking of the boat scene. Come on, you know I’m not going to kill Sophie 30 minutes into the game when the game is literally named Sophie... That would be absurd!
And Eva is a key character in the story too

Believe me, I know more about the current situation in China than you do. There is really no point in translating into Chinese in 2025.
