Unreal Engine - Sorceress Tale [v01.28.2025] [Mithos56]

Its 2025, almost ten years later and this game is barely a game. Can't hate on this game tho, its quite alright for a hour or two. But once you viewed all animations, you will drop it forever.


The Good

• + Animations are neat and there are plenty of em
• + Being able to seduce your enemies and fuck your way out of every situation is hot
• + MC is a hot slut
• + A lot of different enemy types who all can gangbang you too
• + Well its still getting updates... even if they barely add much of value
• + Outdated graphics but it has its charm

The Bad

• - No gameplay, story, goal...
• - There is a big "map" , but most of it is empty and has no reward for exploring it
• - Some builds break the enemy AI or other things
• - Poorly optimized
• - Not much to do after you get fucked by all sorts of monsters
• - A lot of janky gameplay, puzzles and parkour is terrible

I think its pretty clear that there is no point in supporting the dev, because this game died and his funds keep decreasing too. I still check his patreon from time to time for Updates, because hey I'm the last one who would refuse to see new animations in a monster fucking game heh.

The game looks very unique and awesome, keep up the good work and keep improving the game and add a gallery in the future so it can suit everyones needs

This is not a game, it never was and never will be! This is a demo developed in 2017 and nothing has changed since then. All it has and ever had is a couple of animations and a small starting location, which are created by many novice developers in a couple of months in spare time.

Huge variety of well-animated scenes with a variety of enemies, and a fun puzzle-like concept for the magic system which I think will really shine if the game keeps up development. One to keep an eye on for sure!

This dev makes Yandere Dev look like a AAA studio.
Sorceress Tale is a steaming pile of dog crap, the graphics, gameplay, performance, all pure shite. Save your bandwidth for something that won't make you want to bleach your eyes after.

No progression, just milking money. I dunno when this game has a real update. 8 years of development and still no progression. Just be sure to don't milked by this guy.

I see this demo since its first version and guess what in +8 years=96 months after it first release it is almost the same demo stuff what he do for +1500-2000 $ per month.


Its probably one of the biggest and older scams from all +18 games ever.

This never ending alpha "demo" abomination is an idol of scammers who milk money from patreons for years and promise good content what never happen.

He should close this game what never(ok, maybe maybe someday in +12 years) would be released.

Okay , Sorceress Tale...

It's hard to say much about this project since, during its extended development time, I haven't seen the full picture. Each time, I've had to face something new while trying to find something old that's likely long-forgotten. Every time, there's new mechanics, and the old ones are often redone, sometimes even lost.

The artificial intelligence of enemies is frustrating to me as a player, as if they're afraid to harm me or admit that I'm not very good at playing. The enemy models, like the entire project, are designed in a cartoon style, right? Animations also seem to be in a cartoon style. It feels like I've entered the world of Disney. Most animations are quite stiff and unnatural. The controls are also clunky and awkward. Visually, it looks interesting, but it feels very outdated. So outdated that, after 5 years, it could use... well, I don't know, maybe more polygons, because the performance for this type of graphics is dreadful.

The UI is practically non-existent, and I felt a sense of indifference when the developer couldn't find the courage to create two mouse icons, one for the left button and one for the right button. It's essential to make the menu more understandable or just more readable. We need a complete picture of the project, not just isolated pieces that make it challenging to understand what the project is about. The developer is doing something, but what...

The project mostly appears to be slowly sinking in a swamp without a clear direction.

As others people said, literally no progress since years, which is a fucking shame since the dev seem doing a good work and the game is quite cool.
But then he figured out that's better to change some values here and here every x months to show some work.

for a one-man-project and a WIP this is showing some great artistic decisions, fairly enjoyable gameplay and sexy characters.
At the moment I won't pronounce on the pace of updates like others did because I joined recently but I will say this: a fully interactive 3D game made from scratch with Maya and Unreal Engine is orders of magnitude more complex than a Ren'Py VN, so please manage your expectations.

What I can pronounce on is that the dev told me that he mainly intends to do a fantasy game with original gameplay mechanics that happens to have sexy and horny characters, not the other way around. So I wouldn't expect the gameplay to focus on sex acts much more than it does at the time of writing this review.

I think this game is 5 years old? about 95% of the latest animations and characters are identical to the release from at least 5 years ago. If this Dev actually made this into a sex game instead of an additional revenue stream and adventure map release sim, I would 100% support financially. The new maps and areas are cool! the concept is still great! but wow what the fuck Dev - its the same exact thing, over and over and over again. Dev doesn't want to make a sex game - they want to make a combat fantasy game with financial support by including sex. sorry but pick a lane! Dev SEEMS talented but just cant deliver anything of value. Partner with another dev or a producer and publish the game and then release paid updates or SOMETHING but good god this thread should almost be marked Abandoned and banned from being updated its just so pointless.

Puzzles of placing objects on weighted switches, but the objects are hard to pick up and easy to destroy, not to mention the clunky movement.

Currently the project feels like a bunch of mixed unnecessary and unrelated mechanics: seduction, swords, guns, magic, platforming, extremely basic puzzles; but nothing is quite done right or has meaning apart from "let's force the player to use it".

I like the concept and love the visual style, both in the player model and the setting. But it's the overly extended early platforming that always frustrates my interest, even the one time I powered through it -- at that time I was only rewarded with a handful of hours of gameplay left, so I'm not too eager to give it another chance. The latest time I tried, I still felt the burn of my past experience with it.

I don't completely despise platformers, I can tolerate them when the game has other strong elements. Which this one does, but before you have the opportunity to explore those, and thereby become familiar with and proficient in your character's mobility, the tutorial's stone-hopping challenge cuts off gameplay flow at the legs.

Although the game play are a bit clunky and buggy, but still the animation are pretty good , it even has collision physics (if you know what i mean).

I really like this game, the model, the animation,the art syle...all that.

Hope this game will update frequently

I don't know much regarding this game's development, and the guy gets instant bonus point just for bothering with a proper 3D game-like entity instead of Renpy VN #7456, but man if this is the result of 4 years of development I can't imagine how long it would take to make it playable.

As far as I can tell, it's only one level, and there's not much to do in it. Some of it can even break, such as when, after a not-so-great platforming section, the game tells you to charm your first enemy. The first time I attempted this, it just flat out didn't work. I didn't bother with a second attempt since I was now trapped in this area, so I restarted the level and walked around it (something I would greatly recommend regardless of weather or not you know the controls, just look in the OP and save yourself the trouble). There's then a puzzle section involving using spells to move physics barrels onto switches you can't reach. This would be nigh impossible if you were to actually use the physics system, so it instead plays a scripted event, one that completely removes your ability to move unless you press the teleport button. Then you enter the "combat arena" where there are some enemies scattered around that you can either charm or kill, and that's about it. You can mess around with the spells or try out the charm system which as you will quickly learn serves zero purpose since charmed enemies won't do anything other than follow you or wait around. They won't attack enemies or help you out, and because this is a porn game I can complain that they won't even fuck you, for that matter it's a little unclear how exactly you get the sex; charming enemies doesn't seem to cause it directly, I'm under the impression you have to charm the enemies during combat? But charming is something like a 5 second channeling process which can be interrupted by certain attacks and since every enemy knows your location once you're spotted, and since there's no after hit damage delay, you just end up dying if you attempt to do that. That's fine as a game mechanic but if all you've got is one VERY short demo level then why is there not an easier or more comprehensive path to the very draw of the game - the porn?

The protag is hot, the animations are pretty decent all things considered and the combat is more or less functional, along with the spell system. There's a foundation for a game in this but that's all there is. As stated, it's VERY short, like 20 minutes tops unless you want to struggle with the combat arena to get all the different animations, then you're probably looking closer to an hour.

Pros:
-Really good graphics, chara models and physics
-Awesome genital collisions, between the bests
-Nice sound design
-Quite innovative gameplay for a sex game
- Good looking map design
Cons:
-No customization, of any kind (Still, customization migth not be a problem for this kind of game)
-Despite of sexual animations being really well made, there aren't really a few, again, its okay for the kind of game it is
- The game is really short
- No squirt or cum decals on the models afther sex
This game is really cool. I must say, i'll love this animations, graphics and models in a format like the one of honey select or wild life, more like a sex sim than a adventure game. despite that still goes really fine the way it is
