After playing Little Braver and Primal Sphere, I can say that I loved this game. I mostly play these games for the gameplay, the music and the dialogue (reaction) of the protagonist with some of the characters. Not so much for the h-scenes.
That said, here's some pros and cons for the game:
(Compared to the previous games, since I didn't finished Prism Sphere yet)
Pros:
- Battle System is better than PrimalSphere's/Little Braver(Because you can change the forms of your weapons for either AOE or PVP.)
- The dialogue is quite funny/savage if you compare the dialogue between Francette & Leticia, huge difference.
- The music is beautiful (though it's often badly looped)
- The game mostly focuses on a cave so it's very straightforward and uses it's sidequests as part of the main game
- Very little backtracking (If you're stuck somewhere, just read the notes. I've almost never got "stuck" in this game.)
- You can get achievements. (You don't get anything from it, but it's a neat thing for the players who are more completionists.)
Cons:
- Well, it's Anmitsuya, so the plot is... alright. It sets up the premise and we 'do' see the backstory of the protag, but it's never really explored unless you're doing ALL of the sidequests
- If you've played the past Anmitsuya games, you've already seen most of the H-scenes. Just change the hairstyle of the protag and her eye color. That's it.
- There's too much of a drastic change between being a virgin and non-virgin regarding the dialogue. It's like a huge 180. But then again, this is often a thing in the Anmitsuya games.
I'd say it's a pretty decent game, (I didn't bother to get a naughty protag. I usually do a hard mode virgin clear ending and occasionally check the gallery and end it there.) but obviously, it has it's flaws. Those being, the human characters, the plot and I'd say... the true final boss. I was really disappointed to not see a separate dungeon for it. I loved the interaction between the protag and the monsters (before fights, with friendly npc's and so on) but sad it doesn't extend much.
After playing like more than half into the game, if the protag is still a virgin, you'll notice that the town is basically... a ghost town. People stop interacting because they all have their "issues". And if you want to unlock more dialogues, you gotta lose your V card. Which I hate that the game forces you to do. (You can't even get some half decent items until after you lose your V card and become a real nympho about it. And that sucks.)
That stuff aside, it was a decent game. Fell in love with most of the music and I spent about 10h just grinding and doing the main quests. Too bad, there's no real reason to do NG+. Not unless you wanna play the story all over again. ("For fun".)
