How Long To Beat: less than 1 hour
This is a whimsigoth fantasy Visual Novel with Turn-Based Combat and minor sandbox elements. It has music, sound effects, and every cut-scene and sex scene is fully animated with jiggle physics.
PLOT: Raven is a goth girl stuck in a magic tower. She spends her existence masturbating to books that she lives in as she reads them. She becomes trapped in her most recent book and she must perform fetch quests to try to escape. There are fairies, demons, and monsters, all of which Raven has sex with. The quests are standard fantasy requirements: find a weapon, find a magic book, find a magic whip.
A majority of the characters are recognizable parodies of characters made into new characters. A fairy queen looks like Aunt Cass, a small regular fairy looks like Rapunzel, a woman looks like Rosalina before she was transformed into a demon, a mysterious woman looks like Maddie Fenton.
COMBAT: This is a ren'py game. Combat is turn-based, with multiple choices for actions (which can be rolled back). There is a visible health bar for Raven and the enemy. Combat is based around fucking: Raven may attack with a weapon, but most of her attacks involve her engaging sexually with the enemy. Enemies attack Raven with sexual moves, such as slapping her in the face with a penis or penetrating her pussy with a tentacle. You do not need to fail to see sexual content with an enemy, however there is almost always an option to submit sexually to an enemy for special animations. All attacks are animated with jiggle physics. Combat is straightforward and simple.
You NAVIGATE the world two ways: static areas with arrows that allow you to choose where to go and an occasional sandbox world map to go to a new area. There are interactable objects for Raven to pick up, but these do not highlight, so it can feel a bit like pixel hunting. However, interactable characters do highlight.
The majority of the sex scenes with human characters are lesbian / yuri, with an occasional M/F sex scene. Monsters are coded as male, such as a dick with wings and a tentacle monster. So there's a little bit of everything. A fetish worth highlighting is a sex scene between Raven and a small fairy, where she fucks the tiny fairy by fingering her and the fairy eats Raven's pussy. So all the fairy-fucking fans have a nice scene worth enjoying.
One weird hiccup in the game design: all animations loop, and you must click your mouse 3 times to progress the scene. Not a problem, but a little clunky nonetheless.
BODY TYPES: All of the female characters are busty and their tits have a slight natural sag and naturally wider areolas. All of the female characters have juicy asses. There's no pubic hair, and pussies are puffy. As mentioned, there are jiggle physics on every pair of tits, asses and even pussy mounds. There are also some skin textures (like freckles) on some of the models. Every character has big eyes, in the CalArts art style that are popular in modern Western animation studios (which makes sense, given the characters chose).
The world is colorfully whimsigoth, so this has a semi-dark fantasy look, but isn't tonally dark or grim.
OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: This game is really well made and shows a ton of potential. There is obvious care in every choice. Unfortunately, this is basically a demo that acts as a prologue. There's enough combat and sex scenes to get a feel for the project, but this is obviously not a full experience. That said, this is better than most v0.1 demos that get uploaded. I checked the developers website, and they are still actively working on the game, although their uploads have been hampered by the issues inhibiting adult games over the past few months. There are newer versions of this game with more content available for download on their website, but I have not played it because they haven't been uploaded on f95. Hopefully that changes in the future, because this game does seem very promising.
