If there is one change I hope to see in the next update, it would be possibly swapping the tech levels of Quality Assurance testing and Upgrading Bot Parts. Currently, upgrading bot part generations is unlocked at tech 10 while QA for the bots, and the gallery images, is at 15. Does that seem backwards for anyone else, or do y'all not have trouble raising your tech skill? I'm at day 121 and mine just got to around 12

The way the skills unlock seems fine to me, you spend your time learning to be 'a tech' and then once you have enough experience, you work on more 'advanced' things like parts upgrades and finally quality assurance checks and tests.
Hate to say it, but your tech level up issue does sound like a 'You' problem. I am on day 120 and my tech skill is 21 and I am not even trying that hard to level it up.
I don't know what you are doing or not doing to try and level up your Tech skill, I can just offer a few things that I do to level up my Tech skill.

Changes to 1.40 are massive so it might be worth doing new replay now. 1.50 introduced the ending to the story.
I am not sure how many DLC additions I will still make, at least one though (RPG System with Away Missions) and one to wrap up loose ends...

I could add a shave button to the daily menu tho...
I decided to add the RPG module and in extension away missions to SJX I, so that's the reason it will be extended a bit.
In 2026 I'll probably go for a small game (idle sim type, godot) for a change as I added already a lot of stuff to SJX I Extended that I had planned for SJX II originally

G-bots are Golden Seductress shells, which drop rarely from Drengar Corsairs in Quthor system. They are the ships with vibrant stripes on top, and you get 1 per level 6 bounty (and the Drengar pirates random encounter) and 2 corsairs in the level 7 bounty in Quthor.
Oh, and you need to have a spare G-shell in your lab inventory, then talk to Nimhe, and she'll upgrade the look of your personal J-shell bot to now look like a Golden Seductress.
For the 21:00 scene, you need to give Moira a krell shaver, have her actually accept it, then check the cameras at that time.
The reason YV and I both consider the Purple Underverse Shield and Purple Underverse gun to be such a potent combo, is that the gun regenerates your shields per attack you land with it, while the shield has a chance to cloak you when you take a hit, and thus immediately end the enemies turn. Where you can then attack, fill up your shields to full, and just keep going. Also, drone spawners are common in late game, so you absolutely want some sort of shield regen since you are better off shooting the motherships and letting the shield regen let you just tank the drone impacts.
The Red/Orange Underverse gun/shield/cargo expander just seem like brute force options. Effective yes, but I prefer the survivability of the Purple combo.
...Actually, in that regard, they are pretty well conceptually designed, and lets the player try it out that way. Though now I'm wondering how a purple gun and red shield would work, since the Red Shield does reflect damage back at enemies, and the purple gun would let you fill it back up. The problem is, I'm unsure how much damage enemies actually do, and if it's worth reflecting that damage back...
It seems a bit complicated to try out, seeing how you will have individual choices to get one or the other.
I usually cloak on my last movement, so for 6 turns I expect no return fire, but yes, the swarm mines are an issue as they can't be killed by the AoE of the Nova cannon, so some fire has to be diverted.
Heavy torpedo usage is encouraged. I just wonder if killing faster would help more, or if I just shouldn't bother and load more torpedoes. I sure could afford them, assuming anyone's selling.
Thoughts for another day, I guess.

It disappears after you tell Nimhe that it's been retrieved, that is also when the bot with the infiltrator shell is returned to your cargo (in the crates section).

Very minor text issue, it should be 'not be' instead of 'be not'. Very small issue, but if there are more updates in the pipeline it would be nice to have corrected.
Another minor QoL suggestion would be having keys 1 2 and 3 for the various decks while on ship, and if possible disable S as screenshot key
So I have a slightly minor issue I think. I upgraded T'ris outfit to the max level I believe, however the last version of the outfit is the same as the first one. All the other upgrades worked fine for me as it got skimpier and skimpier but this last version is just the original base artwork. Did I do something wrong?

Does anybody know you get Nimhes SLU to 15 and Moiras SUB to 7 (or whatever max is)? I thinki had it at max in a previous version but it somehow went back down?
That is a bug. What you see is actually Progressive 4 that is not implemented, so graphics reverts to default...
Moira: Milk Pet Achievement gives SUB 7
Nimhe: Sex (repeat once, second angle) gives SLU 15
Can anyone let me know how to trigger the quest line for the new RPG combat? I'm at the point where Ylee wants me to pick her up and completed everything else but the new quest chain just doesn't seem to start
Well, in all fairness I didn't pick up on the part swapping and repair cycle until later on in my game. I will be using the gen 1 core strat from now on, genuinely a good idea. Oh, and I suppose I should just use up the low level bot crates as feeders. Thanks
On a different note, anyone know where to pick up the P shells used in the bot lab for Nihme. I got the L shells from one of the frog ships, but no dice yet. Just bad RNG?
