For testing you could do the following:
Go to my itch.io page, get an older version and see how that behaves.

Other than that I am a bit stumped, as no one reported a "silent crash" issue like that ever before.
You hardware seems ok too (way too good even...)
Appariently i tried v2.10.12 not working but v1.50 is working fine. Im so confused at this point and i will try another versions.

What are the conditions for the cam scene.
I've tried just looking at cams but am missing something.
couldn't find the answer in the walkthrough either.

Hey just wanted see if anyone knows but I thought I recalled seeing in an earlier update that saves transfer now. 1) is that true or is the multiverse pod still necessary? 2) will a v205.010c save transfer to this most recent v220.022 or was there an update in between i missed? bc i just tried and i was getting a series of errors about GAME.file. etc not working and my game would not load. i didnt save the errors but i could grab them if it helps give all y'all lovelies better context since I cant read code for the life of me


i figured out my problem but ill leave the post up incase anyone is a bit dumb like me, make sure the save you load for a newer version is on the "DAY X" screen from after to sleep, theres a blurb in the bottom left corner calling it a "safe zone" for save transfer

There is an annex in the Walkthrough that explains a bit more in depth what the stats are and how they are managed.
I read the rpg combat appendix and looked through the other parts of the walkthrough, but couldn't find any explanation of the stats (but I could be blind of course... :D)


Mobs attack using their own AI, sorting targets depending on some preference strategy. You can taunt them, sometimes that will pull attacks.
Tested it and it works!

In 2.30 I want to improve that AI (e.g. collecting aggro, going for healers/fortifiers, ...) etc.

The captured thieves end up as slaves in your cargo. Not yet differentiated (maybe I should have slaves and captives)

What's your architecture? 32-bit or 64-bit? I think 1.50 was made with renpy v7.x which still supported 32-bit, but that was dropped with renpy v8.x as far as I know and would explain why the game doesn't start...

I remember playing and then being defeated by the migration system from one version of the game to the next, where you would lose various items or progress. Is this still an issue or is it easier to update between versions now?

The new system is interesting, it's true that it's a bit simple for now but it has a lot of potential, the only thing I don't like is that i had to look at the guide to be able to start it.

I'm guessing there will be another type of trigger later, and this is just a demo so it's easy to try. But it's a fun mode. Bubbleheads never disappoint. ;)

Would it be possible to select the character's shaving from the dress code? It's true that the current system isn't very bothersome, but it would be easier if, once you've got it, you could choose from there.

None of these are bugs, its just content that feels missing to me:

Khelara and Moira still say nothing when leaving the Krell uniform on, after leaving Krell space
Khelara and Moira also have the least conversation when ordered to wear it outside Krell space
Nimhe, Seraphine, and Khelara don't have an Itari station pet walk
There are no pet tricks for Itari station for anyone (so far, only Tris in the Krell station can do a 'trick,' and the pony racers can 'present.')
Moira has no simple way to perform a sex scene. You have to use the original, exact order of events and uniform, no matter what her stats are.
Moira doesn't have an altered base uniform
Tris will not let you watch her exercise, no matter what her stats are
Nimhe will not open the door for you in the lab or her room, no matter what her stats are
Only Tris can be summoned to your cabin
Increased exhibition stats have obvious uniform results, but increased submission stats have few results beyond the unlocked progression events.
Pet training is not available for anyone but Tris
Pet training 3 does not exist, which could be the bridge between Moira's (and Tris's) training level, and the more complete obedience of the pets at the Krell station.
The female characters do not ever express a desire for sex, and the favor points required for it can only be gained a single way for each character.
The characters do not talk to each other about their changing attitudes. (stat levels)

This rpg stuff looks pretty cool, but importantly, it isn't a pathway to more sexual content, which is already spread out over a lot of gameplay.
Oh, and the handful of elevator scenes are NOT worth the sequential new traveling method. These should just be normal location events. And in that form, I wouldn't mind if a lot more were added.

This is all just bonus content and new additions that are being added for more depth.

The game was "complete" a while ago, a year ago or so, when they finished the storyline.

So the game is done, you can play the entire story start to finish, that hasn't changed. This is just additional polish and fun and post-game / new game+ content now.

Are you going to demand that Capcom refund everyone their copies of Monster Hunter Wilds because they are still releasing new free updates for it despite the game being sold as complete? (Though, it has enough issues that that is another issue...) This is just the dev adding more things onto his already done game because they can.

I know it is a rarity for games on here to actually be Completed, but don't criticize someone for completing their game and then deciding to go back and add more stuff afterwards because they still had ideas leftover.

This is equivalent to Star Traders: Frontiers (great game, not-porn, find it on Steam on or Google Play Store or Apple tablets) where they finished their game 7 years ago, and then have had 350+ additions of further content added onto it to keep making it better because they could and because it keeps the game visible and active so it keeps finding new players and more of an audience.

Bug for v2.20_022:
I'm in Quthor, and I'm still investigating the bar Leather Forge. I need to send Khelara there in the evening, but haven't yet. In the mean time, I'm taking bounties to get bot drops. One of the bounties is on the gas giant Abydos, and when I try to go there, I'm told by T'ris I need full cloaking.

1, I have a Dark Mirage shield with all 6 Underverse effectors. In every earlier cloak event (biolabs, etc), that has been enough to count as cloaking. Yet somehow this doesn't? Or...
2, I think this is an event trigger firing too early, since I think this is the Underverse portal thing. the Captain PC shouldn't even know theres anything there yet, I haven't gotten the intel. Just the Out Of Character Cutscene that showed the Syndicate Agent and Researcher talking about the portal.

Kind of annoying I'm missing out on a bounty that gets placed there, but I'm unsure there's anything I can do at this point.

Why are the shops empty?
do not use urm or other mods. it destroys the data integrity. any game started while URM was installed is corrupted and cannot be repaired in any way except for a restart and reinstall

I don't want to say it too often or too loudly, but I leaned strongly on DD regarding the stats and the meaning...;)

thanks for checking. That narrows it down. I migrated the entire game code base to Renpy version 8.x after 1.5, which also lifted the complete python code from 2.x to 3.x

I assume there is an incompatibility of that framework with something in your machine. Although it seems odd, because I've never seen that kind of behaviour before with at least 10,000 downloads.

I probably for consistency should add dark Mirage to the shields that allow default cloaking when you spend the night at a location.

haha, that's why I was confused. As far as I was aware, it already was. Like I said, every other cloak-necessary event prior to the Quthor stuff already allowed Dark Mirage to work just fine. Hell, I'm pretty sure it was in version 2.05 or something, I remember doing a multiverse pod import in that version too. The only time you need a Voron Shield when you already have Dark Mirage is if you don't want to give Belit 50 million.

Save games from any 2.x version are importable in any other 2.x. System worked fine across at least 40 major/minor version upgrades since introduction with 2.00

Is it hard to bring back the old movement system? or put the setting in the options? (at the discretion of the player) It is very tiring to walk back and forth on the ship and look at this scrolling deck, I remember how much I had to run around the ship in the old version and imagining all this and even with scrolling it just kills.
I might put it up for vote guess. So far no other requests to change it.
I guess I could have a toggle that supresses the intermediate screens.
