SpaceCorps XXX [S2 v2.9.5]
SpaceCorps XXX has been in development for quite a while now and is one of the older projects on this platform. Because of that, it already comes packed with a ton of content - and depending on which kinks you unlock along the way, you can easily spend several hours having fun with it.
I skipped the gay and most of the futa content (not my thing) and went with the route where the MC isn’t Cole’s cuck - it just wouldn’t make sense considering the size of the guy’s equipment. If you’re open to most or even all of the fetishes this game has to offer, SpaceCorps XXX will keep you very well entertained. But if you prefer staying in your usual comfort zone, you might want to pick a game that focuses more directly on your personal tastes - because otherwise, you’ll be missing out on a lot here.
One thing I want to clarify - despite what some reviews claim, this is not a femdom-focused game. Sure, there are a few dominant female characters or femdom scenes, but most of the later content depends entirely on the choices you make.
The dev clearly poured a crazy amount of work into trying to please a huge range of players. Still - or maybe exactly because of that - I’m more in the "less is more" camp. With so many fetishes (plus all the different alien races on top), the workload just multiplies endlessly, and honestly, I doubt the game will ever be truly finished.
The story - written in good English - kept me entertained and didn’t get boring. It’s funny at times, and the pacing works pretty well overall. You just have to accept that this is a sci-fi parody, full of over-the-top and totally unrealistic scenes. There’s no deep character development, but that’s fine for this kind of game - the MC basically gets busy with nearly every side character anyway.
The often-criticized mission and daily routine setup didn’t really bother me. If it helps shape the MC for what’s to come and affects how the story unfolds later in the Space Corps, then it actually fits. What does annoy me, though, are those dead-end choices that lead straight to a game over. Seriously, if you don’t want players to pick an option, don’t offer it in the first place.
Visually, the game is solid but definitely no longer up to modern standards. The textures are too flat, and especially for a VN that shows this much skin, some high-res body detail would be nice. The models themselves are fine - the female ones look a bit more natural overall than the male ones.
A scene I found particularly memorable was when the MC went through a portal and ended up in a bizarre "plastic world." The visual assets were well chosen: the characters from the real world were instantly recognizable in their plastic versions, almost like caricatures of themselves. It’s a small detail, but it showed real creativity and humor in how the dev handled that part of the story. Top!
The scene flow and the sex scenes are well done, though it’s a shame there’s no animation - just stills you click through.
What really stood out to me, though, is the sound. There are tons of effects and background music, and I especially loved the cover versions of famous songs. They actually expanded my music horizon - definitely one of the game’s highlights! The placement of the tracks is hit or miss, but overall, the soundtrack adds a lot to the experience.
I give it 4 stars. In my opinion, it deserves a bit less than four, but definitely more than three.
