Ren'Py - Completed - Spaced Out [v1.00] [NSFW Space]

I wouldn't say that this AVN is a bad game. It's more of an average experience. The setting is interesting, but the plot could be improved. The graphics were good at the time of its release, but they might not hold up today. There is some grind in the gameplay that doesn't always fit well with the rest of the game. However, I would recommend playing through it for the sake of the story and some of the memorable scenes.

I would have given it 4stars if it wasn't for the Dogshit Sandbox elements.
[I have only played the game till the time when Megan kidnaps you and after bargaining she lets you and mom out of the captivity to eat dinner with everyone and dropped it midway, because the sandbox element was that unbearable


Story
The premise is good, I will give credit to that. Stranded in space while Rogue AI is trying to kill them is Refreshing from the regular AVNs.
It also starts out Good, but when you get kidnapped by Megan and it all goes downhill.

Character Relations
Mom:
Relation with Mom was not fleshed out at all.
She does not feel like your mom at all.
Very rarely does she show the caring, nurturing, pampering side of Mother at all. Granted they are stranded in space and fighting for their life, but still every now and then there should be a nice/wholesome/heartwarming scene.
The taboo aspect of M/S relation is barely scratched. She is all like, a mother and son should not do this. But then Rebecca comes along and tells her on multiple occassions that Earthly rules do not apply here. and she agrees to it. Barely showing reluctance through her actions (only through her words)

Sis:
Not much to say about her. Never really liked her. Nothing charming about her personality.

Rebecca:
Nice Milf. Likes how bold and frank she is.

The Voyeur Aspect
Really bothered by the fact that intimate moments of MC and his family are being telecasted to People on earth.
Even worse when you get captured by Megan and need to have sex to work on some Equation, literally feels like being used as a sex slave.

Also don't like the fact how casual Mom is about lesbian relations.
I can understand with Rebecca but not with that Black bitch.
When you swap out mom with Rebecca during captivity, Mom just goes to the black bitch and they roleplay BDSM and shit, just like that without any relation building or buildup.

Sandbox Element
I hate sandbox elements in AVNs. they are nothing but a way to artificially prolong the gameplay.
My playtime was 30% reading the story and 70% spending doing repetitive tasks and watching repeated scenes.

Byfar the worst thing about this game.
The first phase was alright, it was bearable (but still hated it nevertheless).
The second phase (kidnapped by Megan) was unbearable. Too much grinding time just to unlock a small scene at night. And after playing it for an hour or so, I deleted it.
That shifted the 30-70% ratio to 20-80% or even 10-90%.

Whatever emotional investment I had in the character was killed due to this dogshit sandbox element.
I wouldn't say I didn't enjoy the time I was playing the game, but I wouldn't say I enjoyed it either.

Had the Dev arranged the scenes in a proper streamlined manner, and remove the grindy sandbox element completely, I would have completed the game and most probably loved it.

the story started good and gameplay was plausable until MC gets kidnapped and gets his ass handed out to him, after that, there is hardly anything in the name of gameplay, no choices, mc is just being reduced to a vouyer. in simple words just like me you will enjoy it n the start but it will be insufferable after that point.

Sadly it is a mess...
Events don't really follow a timeline correctly, it is such a short scope and yet manages to incorrectly place a timeline of events.
Gameplay is pretty simple, kinda boring.
There are no animations, just alternating pics. Img quality is avrg/ok.
The worst to me, though, is the lack of choices regarding kinks (not a feet fan) and most of all the lack of buildup for scenes.
You finally got to fuck your mom then she keep asking you to leave the room for her to change, as if the event didn't happened.
Also, this kind of weakminded MC is just so dumb... wish people stopped making the protagonists like that.

It could be great, but it is poorly developed and has lots of bugs in game logic.
Not to mention the lack of persistent progression with the LIs.

Nice idea, but there's no story to tell. Most time you're clicking through all options to find the point where the "story" goes on. It's a waste of time and looks like a test of the programmer what he could do with Ren'Py. Two stars because there were no bugs in it and at least they tried.

I'm not really sure the point of those dice games if it was just faulty logic or bad code, either way they were dreadfull and unplayable.
I won't even talk about the grind other than to say you'll need to Polish the panels about 100 times to get that far.
Not a fan of the management type games and this has that feel.

[After playing v1.00]

I can't say I really enjoyed the playable elements of this game (it's a bit repetitive and sort of absurd to move between parts of the ship just for that, but it's not the worst anyway). The story, characters, sex scenes and how it developes is nice. Decent and enjoyable, certainly the sequel Water World is better.

I dropped this game very quickly. Honestly, I don't really expect anything from F95 games except for good 3DCG modelling and good scenes but this game's dialogue broke that exception for me. I really find it unplayable.

A weird game, but nonetheless one to look out for. However, this is only part 1 of the whole; you need to play the developer's other game "Water World" to continue the story. As it is this game is fun. The story can get confusing at times, and the game can jump around without any explanation at times, but it mostly makes sense towards the end. Again, you should play Water World to get a better sense of it.

Of what is available here, the visuals are OK to good, the animation is basic, and the gameplay can be a bit tedious at times, especially in the third act. I had to resort to cheating with the dev console to make it go faster. It has some good fapping material IMO.

Definitely worth a try.

Story:
One of the good parts of this game is the story as it moves you out of the ordinary highshool/low life scenario that
a lot of games use. It changes the context and make you pay attention to what happens

Gameplay:
The game might come as grindy at moments, especialy at the end when you have to make the progress. And I can get why
a lot of people point it out. i have to admit that at moments I had to read the walkthrough to find out what I am suppose
to do next

Characters:
The mom and the stepsister mom looks appealing to me, with stepsister being fine. I did not really enjoy the redhead.
Even so the renders are fine. There is not a lot of depth to the characters but as story evolves you find out a few
things about them and that is pretty cool.

Interesting story. Good art. Very good sex scenes. Decent writing. But the grind... It's too sandboxy and grindy. Without that, it would have been 4 stars. Seems easier to develop too. Some people must like this kind of sandbox?

To be honest... it was kind of boring.

It was pretty repetitive. Its not repetitive to the point you can't continue but its enough to make yourself wonder why your still playing it. Generally when things are repetitive I like to have other things that keep me going.

Unfortunately those other things just weren't good. The characters were honestly not very good looking. I will say though that there personalities did fit how they look just not very likeable. The story wasn't very interesting either and it was hard to even stay interested for the sex scenes since those weren't very good either.

Better be ready to polish some solar panels because that is pretty much all you do in this game.

Starts out fairly shallow and pretty repetitive. But as the plot develops unanswered questions keep piling up into a larger mystery.

I'm glad I found this after it was already completed. If I had found it when it started out I probably would have trashed it.

Story/Characters
The sci-fi element starts off promising, but it spirals into something that's hard to immerse yourself in. The characters are equally odd.

Gameplay
The gameplay is very repetitive, without reason but to pad the game's length. For example, you send robots out to clean multiple times a day by pressing one button, and that will be most of your time sink.

Sex
The odd characters and lack of immersion meant I couldn't get into it but I suppose it was fine. No animations.

Story: Starts out relatively simple, but really spins out of control. Gets hard to even follow who has what motives and the logic behind their decisions. Ending is even more out of left field.

Gameplay: The first 60% has you moving between different rooms and wasting time most of the day until a specific hour of the day. Most of these rooms are unused throughout the whole story. Navigation system could be removed completely and probably be an improvement. Other than going to a specific place at a specific time, gameplay is just grinding. Very repetitive.

The second half is just as repetitive, if not more. Found myself using the Skip function heavily toward the end to see if any new and worthwhile scenes would show up.

Renders: Solid/above average; no complaints

Replay Value: I definitely wouldn't play this again since it became a slog. Would be interested in a CG gallery for main characters, but that's it.

It is a good game. Not great but enjoyable.
The girls are attractive and the pictures are a little bit better than average.
The story is some science-fiction stuff, not Isaac Asimov but good enough for a porno game.
Usually, I'm not into incest stuff, but in this game the mother is super attractive. She looks old enough to be a mother, but young enough to be sexy. And her behavior is quite believable - she is not just some nimpho that jumps on her son's dick almost immediately.
The gameplay is not so great to be honest. A lot of senseless grinding that goes nowhere. By the way, don't waste time on improving your skills with programming, it is almost useless.
The ending is rushed, but the main character's story continues in the developer's next game.

Overall, I am not sorry that I played this game, which has been the case with many games here, unfortunately. Mostly, because I really enjoyed the mother in the game.

Sex scenes are short and not very interesting.
Story had potential but is unfortunately rushed and not very interesting.
There is often nothing to do in the game other than wait for an event to pop-up so you are mostly wiping solar panels.

It was nice but not so good. My main problem is lack of renders in sex scenes and poor animations. If the sequel will have those(and more dirty talking wouldn't hurt anybody) then it can get 4 stars probably.

PROS

CONS
-I couldn't finish the game because i got bored.
-You need to spent too much time to reach a small achievement.
-CGs are grain.
-Don't like the girls.
-Need to be played with walkthrough.

Well, after having gone through this game every which way, i can say i like it.

Like so many of these VN's, there are plenty of errors in the english, but i have to assume that is because the author is not a native english speaker...i tend to let things like that slide, if there are very few errors, and the story is good.

This one starts off as a slow burn, but things get really interesting about a third of the way in. The game, and it's story are WAY longer than one might think when starting.

The renders are not of the highest quality, but are still quite good, the animations are not great. it's just 2 frames switching back and forth, instead of smooth animation loops like you'd get in something like "Twists of My Life", or "Melody". The story had the potential for multiple endings, but there is only one ending, which is kinda disappointing. Definitely a missed opportunity, there.

All in all, though - at the end of the day, this VN is still very good, and totally worth a playthrough.
