As promised: Review update 1.0.4 -> 1.0.7
Beware I played version 1.0.7 and things will change.
I know I say this alot but it has potential.
I like top down games, It offers space for performance and yes it did, I was running Ultra Settings Preset with 60 FPS with an RX 580 and a R7 5800x (I am aware of the bottleneck), Though the Graphics aren't that impressive, Normally this is an insult but in this case it is good, The Dev didn't pick a ressource hog.
The gameplay is a bit tedious currently and a bit messy, Melee Combat currently is a bit rough
Looting is very slow because you have to *hold* E on every single lootable container which makes looting slow and makes you even avoid it at some point.
The newly added Building feature is honestly pretty standard, You press C to open a building menu where you can find all buildable structures. The building is simple but... It just works though you need to reselect the pieces you want to build and again you have to hold a button to start construction (F), The Building is easy to understand and isn't janky like other games *cough* Conan Exiles *cough*
The Story is a bit... Weird, You wake up in a home (Why is Waking Up and Standing Up a QTE, Come on man, I know it is relatable but come on), The story was a bit rewritten what it seems like and I am grateful for that.
Also the above head dialogue is still a bit annoying since it goes away so fast.
Currently there is not much to do, You have a new quest to meet the gang, Naked Dude, And the Lady. And another quest to find clothing but for me, It just could be a me issue but I couldn't find any clothes.
Zombies ingame respawn pretty fast, but Yet again it is just a demo in this state.
The game is promising but I say the Dev should've let it cook for a little longer before making this build, There are many bugs but he is responsive and listens to feedback so far so I have high hopes.
What I like:
-Reload animation for the AK, Looks good.
-Eating animation, I like the little things but it is not perfect.
-The proportions, I'd be jorking my hog if there were more scenes.
What I dislike:
-The Building X-Ray is pretty weak you don't properly look inside the houses, There will be container you will miss because the X-Ray doesn't reveal because the inner walls are not see-through
-Movement, It has slow accelaration.
-The Misaligned Cursor for aimed melee combat, Please fix it.
What I wish for:
-Beast Content, I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea.
-Clothes, I like to be drippy af bruh.
-Companions, Like the naked dude or a dog (Dev confirmed a Dog as a Companion :3)
-A proper prologue.
For now I give it a 5.5/10 but it is subject to change, I will update my review with the upcoming game updates
