More of a proof of concept than a first chapter, but it shows some promise.
I like that it provides a fresh origin story for the character - this is not the same Gwen Stacy known as Ghost Spider in published comics. The nod to The Fly - and by extension to Spidey 2099 - is clever, too.
I get that the goal was to stand out from the pack visually, and evoke a drawn-art look as well, but I can't say I'm fond of the "posterized" style applied to the frames - maybe tone down that effect some?
