Is there any other artists that does what Spinneborg does as good as them?
In fact are there any pixel artists as good as Spinneborg? The only pixel artists I remember are CountMoxi, who hasn't updated in a while, and Dead-Pixel, who's content is under tight wraps.

Really hard to find pixel artists from that level of animation, normally the more current ones, are like Dead-Pixel, but i like more when they have more clear visible bodies like Spinnerborg, the last one that i found a long ago if someone is interested is Deezairah, but i think he/she no longer does content

Did the artist give a reason why the change? I feel their excuse of IRL stuff kinda fishy but still possible

I find his sudden change without any clear heads up kinda unprofessional. I'm sure there are some people that subbed to him to see the Disgust and Joy animation finished, only for him to drop it and all nsfw content without any warning. Maybe he has a good reason for the shift, but I think he should at least finish what he was currently working on, even if he rushes/shortens it. Why should people continue to sub to him when it's possible he might drop other future projects without warning as well?

Some people tried to ask be all they said was that it was something life changing and that's it. Whatever it was, it had to have been big if they were willing to give up what they were best known for doing.
