Is this the same game as that halloween themed porno manager turned card game, but an earlier version?

It's... Okay. I like the smut itself, but I'm not really able to find myself to split my attention between the game itself and the animations. Feels a little conflicting to me.

I like that the game has you balance what you want to switch, so you don't just mindlessly match. It does feel a bit weird that "winning" can end the game before you get the later animations. Interesting concept.

But "Cummy" meter is cringe. Just call it cum, or endurance, or anything other than cummy.

I really don't understand the idea behind the "stars" being what causes a victory. Like... trying to balance the "cummy" meter and the heart meter feels like it'd make way more sense than "yay you got the stars well done." Fill the heart meter then go for the..... other dumb named one and hey presto. creampie animation victory or something. I'm having to avoid the 10million stars the games throwing at me cos they feel more like a bloody loss.

They said on their Patreon they dropped it and are now making a game called ChromaBeat instead with the same mechanics but different art

Apparently ChromaBeat is just a B project, and Spooky Starlets is still in development, but hit a snag with its pixel artist.

From the patreon:

"Not sure how many of you remember , but we've kind of been stuck with that one for a while. Things originally started out great- but then things slowed down with our pixel artist and we had to eventually split ways with them.

Since then, our programmer, came up with a way for us to smoothly transition from a pixel style to a vector style. However, at the same time I was also researching and developing out some 3D assets for use in future projects- as I'd like any further Starlets spin-offs or sequels to be in 3D, so that film creation can be customized more.

It was then I realized we could take the 3D pipeline I've been working on and combine it with the game mechanics of Pixel Pornstars- allowing us to have a relatively simple game that we could attach to our 3D tech demo.

So, I bring you ChromaBEAT, which will be replacing Pixel Pornstars, and is effectively the same project, but has changed a lot since it's first conceptions and iterations.

Our main focus is still Spooky Starlets. The work I am doing on ChromaBeat is personal experimentation I am doing on the side, with 3D assets being handled by new teammembers- the main TinyHat Alpha team is still fully focused on improving and wrapping up Starlets.

In fact, we hope to see Spooky Starlets completed by the end of 2021. "

Hey so, any update on ChromaBEAT? I don't see a thread for it after all these months, so... did it just go quiet, or...?

Is there something you need to get the game to display? Running it just gives me sound with no visuals. Tried changing some settings but no luck.
Sorry for the necro.
